  • I mean I don’t disagree that the song is boring and I don’t want it to get a reset but you guys do sometimes forget that the BRITS are a celebration of the year that has just passed and not a “what ca

    Please stop 😭

  • Single of the Year needs to change tbh. I don’t think that should be so “sales” heavy anymore.

Isn't the international song of the year the same as the UK in that it's based on sales figures? Pink Pony Club was one of the best selling tracks of the year over her other singles which explains its nomination

My predictions:

Song of The Year - Olivia Dean : Man I Need

Artist of the Year - Sam Fender

Album of the Year - People Watching by Sam Fender

Group of the Year - Wolf Alice

International Artist of the Year - Alex Warren

International Song of the Year - Golden by HUNTR/X

International Group - HUNTR/X

Group of the Year - HUNNTR/X

Pop Act - Olivia Dean

Rock Act - Sam Fender

Hip hop/rap/grime act - Dave

Breakthrough Artist - Lola Young

R&B Act -Kwn

Dance Act - PinkPantheress

Clarifications: I based on the performance in the charts as well as the impact by the Brits Voting academy (I fear that Manchester is rock centered , hoping to be fair).

Opinion: I will really love Jade to clinch victory in the BRITs but I fear that the chart impact also will reflect since her categories are voting academy exclusive vote (we need to pull a Cheryl to do award presenting) . For international song of the year, I want Ordinary to win but Golden have the huge chart impact . My suggestion to BRITs is to put music legends as presenters instead of tv icons since there's NTAs for them but already of out control due to being an ITV thing.

Noel Gallagher to receive Songwriter of the Year at the B...

He's coming home. Noel Gallagher will receive the 2026 BRIT Award for Songwriter of the Year.  Hailing from Manchester, where the event will be held in three week's time, Noel's songwriting is some...

I feel they did this to try and tempt Oasis to perform but they didn’t bite and just carried on with it anyway.

I'm aware this is The Sun, so let's see how this turns out.

Mark Ronson is going to be the man of the moment at the Brit Awards when he is honoured with the Outstanding Contribution to Music prize. And I have been told organisers are going all-out to make it a moment to remember for Mark — with Dua Lipa, Raye and Lily Allen in the mix to perform a medley of his hits.

Oh I half-jokingly mentioned 'Oh My God' in the chart show thread the other day when seeing Mark on the line-up!

Hopefully Lily gets her own section as well.

Just realised (yes i know 2025 was its big year) but PPC got the nod over her actual 2025 singles for Chappel 😮

Do they normally nominate old songs if they were huge that year regardless

Saying that they given Liam songwriter of the year and hes written zilch recently

I think you're getting your Gallaghers mixed up

Yeah my bad think it was late when I made that comment 😅

Have Oasis never won the Lifetime Achievement award? The thing that the likes of Pink and Pet Shop Boys have won in the past?

They won it in 2007.

Icon Award became Global Success award and rebranded again as Outstanding Achievement award

They based in performance of UK and sometimes Billboard

How many performances were there last year? I assume we’ll get some more announcements in the next few days?

Alex Warren isn't even nominated for International Artist!

So that’s 6 acts confirmed - that means 2 yet to be announced if they’re matching last year’s number. The performers are very male-heavy so far so hopefully at least one of Lily, JADE, CMAT or PP/Zara can fill the remaining slots. 🙏 Maybe another group is due too?

There's choices : Either tribute to Mark Ronson who won outstanding achievement award or having two more performers. Gonna be Calvin Harris , Dave or Lily Allen , or The Last Dinner Party
