Unashamedly delighted to be able to participate in another final, with a song that I've loved for years. This is just the sendoff I was hoping for from 2025. Thanks to @Chez Wombat and @King Rollo for leading the way before me with Steven Wilson entries.

That said, some very sad outcomes for some of my favourites in this contest, and Summericia are for sure my highest pointed casualties with a former Zanmatony artist. 😩

Was worried about this one (and mine) so glad they have been announced together! I was sure I'd heard it recently (particularly the chorus's vocals) and had to check it wasn't on the 28 Years Later soundtrack which it reminded me of strangely.

I wasn't there at that time but from what it sounds like, I think if I'd been hosting that listen-through I perhaps would've played it a second time at some point. 🤔 Maybe something to keep in mind for future similar occurrences.

Trifoski another of the ones that just missed out for me unforch (I did give it 12 points when it was in PJSC but I dug back to my votes from that month and I did mention at the time that it was a very weak contest with that being pretty much the only worthwhile discovery whoops - sadly that not quite cutting it in this strong semi but still some good Spanish Magdalena Bay vibes x)

Not Summericia too! Think 2025 is a good year for oldschool & euro-trance, but not quite much for both progressive & uplifting...

Semi 2 is a major disappointment.

Nobody's fault, but yes it did potentially overshadow the next 4 or 5 songs for listeners maybe as everyone discussed it. I had hoped the extra 14 hours' voting window would help people to have more time to check the back of the semi again.

But was just an unprecedented situation, and I 100% see why Addy announced it when he did, because any later and I'd have had a load more votes in as usual directly after the semi. Nobody at fault imo with the situation or reaction.

^ yes I'm not saying it deserved special treatment or anything, was just unfortunate timing xx (I think discussion of the post was still dominating while Aelandor played and that one still qualified so I'm sure it didn't actually affect my result, I'm just being salty )

Altyr seems on paper like the kind of song that should qualify fine but from this semi draw I wouldn't bet against Cumulonimbia.
