Friday at 19:285 days I thought first week sales of Love At First Sight were higher than XMAS this week? This article claims it’s her biggest weekly sales since CGYOOMH dropped to number two in 2001.

Also (I appreciate I'm being picky here) but he says the 7" is white when it's actually gold, and he says the downloads cost 59p on Amazon but they actually ranged from 69p to 99p (it was her official store where they were all 59p).

I’m sure ‘Last Christmas’ would too if it wasn’t for the fact that its Spotify sales for Christmas Day will be underestimated.Either way, the sales report on Boxing Day will be very exciting! The OCC still has not announced that ‘Mr. Brightside’ has overtaken ‘Shape Of You’, which it almost definitely has. But they generally are not keen to compare sales (even downloads) with streams these days.
Friday at 23:105 days Well done Kylie getting the #1, without the vinyls she still would have made it to #1As for sales next week, they can be a bit later than usual or early Saturday morning, and OCC will publish the Official Top 40 chart at some point
Friday at 23:355 days Wonderful to see Kylie get a long awaited Christmas #1. With some decent sales too.
Saturday at 01:135 days I don't get Kylie Minogue's appeal at all: she's not a good singer, she's not a good dancer, and she didn't write or produce any of her top 20 best-selling songs in the UK. It's incredible how an industry plant like that lasted so long.

It's incredible how an industry plant like that lasted so long. It's interesting you think she didn't write any of her biggest songs, In Your Eyes, Love at first Sight, Slow, i belive in you, are just some of the many songs she has written, yes se regularly performed songs written by others, but Kylie does this because she can interpret songs and make them hers. She has written all or most of the songs in her last 4 albums and also impossible princess, but the poor uk reception of that record made her question her writing ability, the album has been re-evaluated by many critics and is now highly regarded.Kylie is a strong songwriter and understands her music, she continually takes risks. Her voice is hugely underrated and she has an amazing vibrato and will she does not have a powerful tone she has a lot of power and is great with her head voice and has a lot of control in her higher register which is one of the more difficult registers to control and sustain. You need to look past the stigma dance and pop music has because it is actually quite difficult to sing, but I suggest you Google Confide in Me live in New York, and Your Disco Needs You, the royal Albert Hall 2015. You may not like her voice but after watching those performances you'll understand she has an excellent singing voice.
Saturday at 06:155 days I like Kylie, and even loved 20 years ago (when she was more adventurous musically), but this particular #1 doesn't tell much about her general popularity as it's a result of very specific chart conditions that don't apply in any other country (the song is still waiting to chart elsewhere). And Xmas isn't a good song by any means lol. But it's a nice chart feat for her and piece of trivia. Edited Saturday at 06:205 days by Sour Candy
