  • Chris Rea has sadly passed away, should see a boost for Driving Home for Christmas

  • 'Driving Home for Christmas' is up to a new peak of #4 on Spotify today!

  • It's best to temper expectation with in memorium climbs during Christmas, even if they're Christmas related. We're dealing with monumentally higher numbers than any other time of year and it's very di

Darlene Love also up to a new peak of #17.

Hadn't noticed this a couple of days ago, but 'Raindance' is ahead of Taylor and RAYE now!

Raindance would be a great no1 to start 2026, doubt it’ll happen though with all the different movements between 27th-2nd Jan!

I know I'm a day or 2 late but been listening to the glee christmas albums and there a song called oh hannukah ,

Not sure who the original artist is but does it never get a boost for hannukah here ?

I’d imagine it’s more for an American audience.

Elton overtaking Shaky for the first time on Apple today, up from 3-2!

I was actually going to check this the moment I woke up, but I forgot. You beat me to it!

Could see Mariah overtake for Christmas Eve and then Wham! Retake it on Christmas Day

Not 100% sure of this. Mariah is back to #1 on Christmas Hits with Wham! now #4. Dean Martin and Kelly should benefit at #2 and #3.

Unfortunately Chris Rea has been moved back down massively after being briefly moved near the top yesterday.

Why do they change the order of the playlists? Are they wanting to manipulate the charts or is it for another reason?

Like it's good they keep changing the playlist but it would be actually much better if it wasn't the same 5 songs they were switching between 🤣🤣

To make it more fair. But also to show that the order is not the be all and end all.

Chris Rea down to 12 today. Frank Sinatra's Have Yourself... might be a new entry this week, up to a new peak of 29!

Wham! down 200k year on year. Mariah up very slightly.

New peak for All Alone on Christmas!

Shows the importance of Christmas Hits. Wham! were number 2 on the list last Christmas Eve, but only 4 yesterday. That explains the drop.

But today should be fascinating as they were still number 2 on the list last year (as the list didn’t vary) but are number 1 today.

I wonder if they will set a new personal best today! I can’t remember if they, or Adele, or Taylor Swift holds the all time UK record.

23.3M for Mimi globally, 1.5M less than last year.

First time streams have been down globally compared to the previous year based on Christmas Eve streams.

Where lonely this christmas ? Need the odd realistic Christmas song on the playlist , that many can relate too 😅
