This sombr track must be a new entry as I don’t think they’ve played it before.

Think we can put the "one reset max per artist" thing to bed now.

Have they ever put in writing the rules for January?

I assume they gave resets for two reasons: those that went to ACR in December/end of November, and those resets (Tiffany - maybe Clash) that were missed earlier in the season.

Because many songs increased by more than 25% this week, they ignore the 25% increase this week - in other words, they make all their reset decisions earlier in the week.

I don’t know which weeks Diana Ross had the appropriate increase.

From the regularly charting songs, not many increased 25%, if any - the Stranger Things boost is anomaly and I guess they want to split those resets to diffent weeks? Otherwise it doesn't make any sense why Tiffany was reset and Diana Ross wasn't.

So the OCC website will update before the number one is revealed on radio 1?

It will - a general message to all (not to you!) is that the no spoilers rule still applies until Radio 1 have announced each song!

Thought this would have been higher! Up to #3 on Spotify today (I haven’t seen how it’s doing on other platforms) I was obsessed with it when it came out and still love it now! Great track

Lush Life and End of Beginning are both very welcome back in the top ten as far as I'm concerned ❤️

adore this so much! glad its back!

would love if some of his other solo stuff could do well too, especially delete ya

It's more that the market is very volatile, and the 25% increase is always measured against the market, which will have declined this week undoubtedly (therefore making 25% increases easily, which I guess is why they control the resets on this week).

does this apply to no.41 to no.100?

Strange how End of Beginning never even appeared on Stranger Things, but it's always caught up in the popularity of the show due to Djo being one of the cast members..

Biography

Singer/songwriter Olivia Dean crafts poignant ballads and warm pop anthems, showcasing a deep sense of self-awareness. Born in 1999 in Enfield and raised in Walthamstow, Dean participated in gospel choir at a young age, before busking in the streets and eventually attending the famous BRIT School. Influenced by Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse and Carole King, Dean’s own take on music is autobiographical and vulnerable. In 2019, she released her debut EP, Ok Love You Bye, which delved into the challenging aspects of dating, like on the meditative “Password Change”. The following year, Dean dropped her follow-up EP, What Am I Gonna Do On Sundays?, a concise but evocative set of songs brimming with celestial melodies and confessional lyrics. Dean’s signature introspective style continues to grow more intimate, as evinced by the delicate 2021 EP Growth, highlighted by the soul-baring single “Be My Own Boyfriend”. - Apple Music

No need for a Djo resurgence. It was a hit in 2024! Lush Life is a good song, but I'm generally not a fan of all these resets.
