Some pretty clear evidence to me that the Big Top 40 isn't especially factual, given Olivia Rodrigo's the cure is #1. It was only #1 for a short while on iTunes, hasn't been near #1 on Apple, and isn't playlisted by Capital so no airplay contribution (not to mention only coming out on Friday). Nobody can tell me they don't make at least some of this stuff up x

Its a good idea to still have a Big Top 40, if they can use more data from the Apple Music streaming chart which often seems a bit fresher than Spotify charts (having said that, Somedays is back at #12 on Apple )

Some summery older songs should be played on Capital I agree because of the heatwave. They did play Kungs this afternoon apparently.

Am I Wrong should be a perennial summer time radio hit like Waves.

Boys of Summer by DJ Sammy is more summery than Heaven.

I'm sure some occasional discussion about recurrent songs they play on Capital on here is OK, just not all the time?!

It seems Perrie is expected on Capital this Friday meaning if she goes number one, that will be the 400th number one
