Geography and Mythology

The river Enneora flows through all four quarters. For this reason, the symbol of the state is the Moon Fish, the only known being believed to both inhabit and pass through the Lost Quarter.

The Moon Fish is said to be visible only as a reflection, never as a physical body. Its name comes from the legend that it shimmers like moonlight on the water at night. It is said to reveal itself in its full form only to those who have crossed three quarters of the path toward the final Lost Quarter.

Three Seasons:

Ennea experiences three distinct seasons, each lasting four months:

Lumina – the bright, fertile season when the river swells with spring rains and festivals begin.

Aurea – the warm and golden season of harvests, calm rivers, and long, luminous evenings.

Noxara – the dark, mystical season when fog rises from the Lost Quarter, nights dominate, and Moon Fish sightings are said to be most frequent.

The flow of the Enneora mirrors these cycles, rising and falling with the seasons, connecting the quarters and guiding both nature and the people through the rhythm of the year.

The name Ennea derives from the Ancient Greek word ἐννέα (ennéa), meaning nine. In Ennean belief, nine represents completeness and perfection, a symbol of wholeness, balance, and the full cycle of existence.

Governance and Political System

Ennea is governed through a system known as the Ennearchy. Authority is embodied in the Ninefold Council, a governing body composed of nine members: three representatives from each of the First, Second, and Third Quarters.

Governance in Ennea operates in a nine-year cycle:

᯽ For six years, the Ninefold Council governs the state.

᯽ This is followed by a three-year period without any formal authority, held in honor of the Fourth Quarter - the Lost Quarter.

These three years without formal authority are not seen as anarchy, but as sacred years, during which people are especially mindful of their actions.

In Ennea, power is not something that is held continuously. It must disappear from time to time, so that people may relearn how to carry responsibility themselves.

Population

The exact population of Ennea is unknown, particularly due to the mysterious nature of the Lost Quarter. Communities are concentrated along the banks of the Enneora in the first three quarters, but no census has ever fully captured the number of inhabitants.

Now you’ve given me the idea to keep sending songs until April for the Lumina season 😂🥳 (then from May to September for Aurea, and until the end of the year for Noxara)

But it looks like the first song I planned fits Aurea more 😭

Paris Paloma - the warmth

I chose this song symbolically for my debut entry, reflecting the concept of the Ennea that I’ve created.

The first season Lumina represents a moment of awakening after Noxara, which can be understood both literally and metaphorically. Noxara retreats with the return of light, and even on the calendar, the days are starting to grow longer now.

The video features motifs such as the moon, water, and ritual, which are deeply symbolic for my state of Ennea. The Moon Fish is a symbol of Ennea. As I mentioned before, it travels through all four regions along the Enneora River. It can only be seen beneath the moon as a reflection, in shape and form, but never in its full physical body , and only by those who have completed three-quarters of the journey. The imagery of the moon and water in the video evokes for me the ritual needed to witness the Moon Fish.

For these reasons, I consider this song a true representative of the country of Ennea, and that’s why I chose it as my debut entry

Jelusick - Died

The State of Ennea proudly presents band Jelusick as its second representative, bringing forward the metal genre - the most dominant and widely followed musical style within the nation.

In Ennea, truth first appears as the reflection of the Moon Fish, silver we see, but not the being that creates it. The same is in Jelusick’s “Died”: the first layer is disappointment, the realization that the system is flawed. That’s the silver. Gold comes later, after three quarters of the journey, when power fades and all illusions “die.” Only then comes understanding.

Metal in Ennea is this passage, from reflection to truth, from rebellion to responsibility, from the death of illusion to true insight.

I'm so excited for Ennea! Not only are they tearing up the rulebook when it comes to song selections but they also make some really creative banners and they look great, like a little CD collection of their hits! 🤩 Please do continue to share your creations with the community here because it's so refreshing to see the effort being put into this. Maybe others will like the idea too and come up with something similar from your positive ideas!

Onto the current entry now, it's great to see it feature. When I first heard it as part of your national selection process, I was sure it stood out the most because of its punchy instrumentals and just the high octane energy that is present from start to finish! It sends a clear message to the rest of the Buzzverse that Ennea aren't here to play - they mean business! 💪🏼
