I think it got removed a few days ago but then came back with a new person credited and then suddenly entered the spotify charts so it’s highly likely to be botted

bloody shame both madison songs are so low (#97 and #99), she’s really unlucky istg

I don't think you need permission from the original label to cover a song? Someone may be able to correct me on that but I think as long as writing credit is given then it's fair game (essentially). Not to say it's not disappointing to see it charting, no matter how inevitable it was.

re I Run, it wasn't pulled for being AI as far as we know, it seems more likely that it was pulled because the AI vocal distortion was modelled based on an existing vocalist (Jorja Smith was rumoured).

Seems too low for Robbie given that the Better Man soundtrack sold 40k+ last year. I wonder if there’s some that haven’t shipped?

Well, unless not all of the physicals have been sent out, that does seem like shockingly low sales for Robbie - suddenly the argument of it being a strategic release date makes more sense but that's not great for him! (It did cross my mind the other day that maybe the label are cashing out in expectation of surprisingly low sales...)

I thought the Rocky album did have a physical release but maybe not unless he has just barely sold any? Wouldn't have expected Madison Beer to be as high as #2 but fair play to her! Hope Sleaford Mods can stay in the top 5 again.

Yeah I was going off the logic that I Run was banned for infringement, so if there's nothing infringing about this new AI cover (which writing credits for the original song usually indicates) it will sadly be free to chart.

Stateside top 13! Midnight Sun on the edge of top 30! Both need to be top 10 asap!

I'm not fussed about the Dave track but would be nice to see another British act get to #1 so early on in the year. It seems a rarity these days.

Hmm hard to tell for sure as they have retroactively added her to the credits on all the previous weeks' charts as well but I'm fairly sure that's only just changed now - cue Alan Jones commenting on her "remix" now being recognised

That’s an insane amount of physicals for Robbie despite the physical only being available from his website. I wonder if the album will return to number 1 on 13th February when it gets released physically elsewhere?

The creators behind the chart-topping song believe their creative process has been misunderstood.

However Germany has let the AI Stromae cover in (it’s top 30 there) so it does seem to be at the discretion of each country’s chart compiler currently.

I don’t mind AI created music for fun only but nobody should ever be making any money out of it or even allowed to commercialise it or upload it to streaming services so I very much hope it’s banned here.

Good move by Robbie then - I didn’t realise the physicals would be shipped this week too so fair play.

The majority of his sales will surely be from his own store though, I can’t see many more coming from elsewhere.

I wonder if Take That have already sold more copies of their currently untitled album than Robbie’s Britpop, given that their 2026 tour pre-sale was linked to its pre-orders?

I was confident that Madison would be able to get a top 10 album this time (especially when her team have been bold enough to book arenas for the tour this time around) but I wasn't sure how high it could go.

Looks pretty good for top 5 if it can add a little more?
