Well this was unexpected, I had all but given up on Katy after the horrendous 143 album, but this track is her best work in years. Could this be a real comeback for Katy this time after the misfires of '143', 'Smile' & 'Witness'.

It’s good, definitely a step in the right direction. Still nothing amazing though imo

It’s #4 on iTunes in Australia, but that probably means less.

It's charting on AM in only 9 countries 32 hrs after the release. Not good.

I don’t think she’s ever really had a fan base like this, and I think that’s been clear for several eras now. She released super strong pop that appealed to people of all ages and were incredibly radio friendly and that was her key to success, not a huge fan base.

So while you’re Gaga’s, Kylie’s and Madonna’s have kept super dedicated fan bases by being packages that people can invest in, I assume most big Katy fans have sort of moved on to the next people making super strong radio friendly pop - I know I kinda have with Sabrina, Dua, Zara etc, but I’ll always check in for her cos she’s an all time girly for me. I’m not spending money on iTunes though, that’s for sure x

On the track, it's completely stuck in my head today. I'm obsessed. Such a shame it won't chart, but nothing I love is ever a hit these days, it makes it very difficult to invest in the chart.

With the level of support this hasn't had, I doubt it will even go Top 100, despite being far better in my opinion than 'LIFETIMES' and 'bandaids'.

Even Bandaids reached #61 so this potentially failing to chart altogether would be a disaster. We'll see...
