Biography

As a kid growing up just south of Atlanta, rapper Gunna, a.k.a. Sergio Kitchens (born 1993), used to practice what he and his friends called “six-month runs”: cut all extraneous spending for six months and save, save, save. The discipline and deferred gratification served him well: After spending his late teens and early twenties quietly exploring his style and releasing only one mixtape, Gunna broke big in 2016 with a feature on Young Thug’s “Floyd Mayweather”—a cosign that helped him bypass the hustle and made him one of the most sought-after new voices in the game. Later that year, Thug’s YSL label released the first of his multi-part Drip Season series, which synthesized his influences into an airy trap sound: smooth and mellow, blending spacious beats with a relaxed, highly melodic delivery and off-the-cuff humor. Between a couple more seasons of Drip and features with Travis Scott (“Yosemite”) and Metro Boomin (“Space Cadet”), Gunna also forged a productive collaboration with Atlanta rapper Lil Baby, releasing Drip Harder in late 2018. The pairing was anointed GOAT status from a sometime GOAT himself, Future, with whom Gunna also featured on “Unicorn Purp.” Like Thug, Gunna has a thing for fashion; “drip” is his slang for personal style. “The salesmen that know me in Barneys say I smell like Biscotti mixed with Creed,” he raps on “Idk Why,” from his official 2019 debut album, Drip or Drown 2. In subsequent years, Gunna propelled himself to new heights, with albums like WUNNA (2020) and DS4EVER (2022) crystallizing his status as one of Atlanta's most dynamic stylists. The latter LP produced "pushin P," a single assisted by Young Thug and Future that bubbles with charisma and understated yet emphatic authority. Unfortunately, it was the last moment before Gunna was arrested and jailed as part of Georgia's RICO case against Young Thug. Following his release from jail in late 2022, Gunna returned with a Gift & a Curse. Fueled by his indelible single "fukumean," the single reestablished his status as a master of melody and dismissive cool. - Apple Music

Biography

Few artists have made bleakness sound quite as exquisite as Robert Smith and his cohort—and fewer still have pivoted so easily from the depths of dejection to such weightless, cotton-candied bliss. If all you knew were songs like “Friday I’m in Love”, you might never guess that The Cure had once been kohl-eyed denizens of the shadowiest bat caves in the UK. After channelling guitar-forward post-punk on 1979’s Three Imaginary Boys, they reinvented themselves as gothic spelunkers with Seventeen Seconds, Faith and Pornography—an increasingly claustrophobic trilogy, stretching from 1980 until 1982, that invented progressively darker shades of black with every release. Having perfected the art of despair, The Cure pivoted to pop, after their own fashion. They explored both gloomy psychedelia and jangling acoustic guitars on 1985’s The Head on the Door, winning a new wave of stateside fans with “In Between Days” and “Close to Me” and blowing open the boundaries of what was becoming known as alternative rock. By 1987’s Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me and “Just Like Heaven”, they sounded genuinely, deliriously happy—something inconceivable just a few years before. Yet there was still plenty of angst palpable in their glowering anthems and wall-of-sound production, as well as Smith’s deeply vulnerable, often wounded yelp. The band’s opposing tendencies came to a head on 1989’s Disintegration, The Cure’s masterpiece: The highs (like “Lovesong”) had never sounded more unburdened, nor the lows (“The Same Deep Water as You”) more hopeless. Their widescreen sound filled stadiums; it also influenced a generation of emo bands intent upon fusing visceral sonic power with fathomless psychological depth. In the decades since, The Cure have kept tending their patch of turf, where the intermingling of storm clouds and sunshine yields a singular harvest: intense, expressive and deliciously dramatic. - Apple Music

How It's Done was sent to US radio as a single very recently so it must be the same here!

Per the bio, HUNTR/X do fuse "sleek, confident pop, R&B, and pop-rap" to create their own sound, every song written by EJAE.

Biography

Tension can be a great motivator for a band, and no group has put that maxim to the test quite like Fleetwood Mac, a ’60s British blues-rock outfit that—through a series of lineup changes, stylistic shifts and rocky internal romances—became the paragons of ‘70s Californian pop. Since the band’s formation in London in 1967, drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie have served as both the rhythmic and spiritual anchors for a group that has hosted a revolving-door procession of outsized personalities, starting with Peter Green, the budding guitar god responsible for early hits like “Black Magic Woman” (famously covered by Santana) and the tranquil instrumental “Albatross” (which The Beatles admittedly aped on their Abbey Road track “Sun King”). After Green quit in 1970, the band cycled through different frontmen—Danny Kirwan and Bob Welch among them—while their keyboardist, McVie’s wife Christine, emerged as a female vocal foil. After a relocation to L.A., they welcomed singer/songwriter Lindsey Buckingham and his musical/romantic partner Stevie Nicks into the fold, heralding Fleetwood Mac’s transition into soft-rock hitmakers on their 1975 self-titled effort. But Nicks’ star turns on “Rhiannon” and “Landslide” revealed a darker mystique at the core of their easygoing sound and, as sudden success caused the long-term relationships within the band to disintegrate, their next release effectively invented a new genre: rock album as couples therapy. On 1977’s Rumours, Fleetwood Mac dressed up the bitterest break-up songs in the smoothest, sultriest arrangements to the tune of over 40 million copies sold; the album’s appeal is so universal that it’s been both cited by Courtney Love as an influence and used to soundtrack Bill Clinton’s presidential campaign. But the band were eager to play against pop-star type—1979’s double-album colossus Tusk betrayed Buckingham’s affinity for post-punk, and though it was deemed a commercial disappointment at the time, it has since been embraced as a cult classic by discerning indie rockers. And even as more streamlined ‘80s efforts like Mirage and Tango in the Night reasserted their pop panache, Fleetwood Mac have remained a cauldron of drama and intra-band acrimony, the principal members seemingly coming and going without warning. In the wake of Buckingham’s departure in 2018, the group enlisted Crowded House singer Neil Finn and Tom Petty sideman Mike Campbell. Christine McVie, who wrote some of the band’s biggest songs, including “Don’t Stop”, “You Make Lovin' Fun” and “Over My Head”, died in November 2022 at the age of 79. - Apple Music

Biography

A sensitive troubadour for the age of social media, Sombr places equal emphasis on sound and soul-baring lyrics. "Caroline," the viral hit that helped the singer/songwriter escalate from indie status to a major label while he was still in his teens, relied on cinematic vistas and rolling harmonies as much as his dramatic vocals. By the time he released the EP In Another Life in 2023, Sombr was collaborating with Tony Berg -- a producer known for his work with Phoebe Bridgers and Michael Penn -- and opening up his music in ways he continued to explore on the 2024 single "In Your Arms" and his 2025 Top 40 hit "Undressed." After landing another Top 40 hit with "Back to Friends," he made his full-length debut in 2025 with the breakup-themed I Barely Know Her. - Apple Music
