February 23Feb 23 Wow! I kind of expected The Chicks to be in with a chance but against The 1975 not Ace of Base!
February 23Feb 23 That’s a real shock omg! I think they are in with a chance of returning if the GW comes back tbh. They have at least one more ace up their sleeve hehe.
February 23Feb 23 that's so cruel....cruel summer, leaving me, leaving me here on my own, it's a cruel, cruel summer!!! By no means that was the worst song in this round, but hey, the public spoke!!!I just hope their manager does them justice, if indeed there is a Golden Wagner, and they comeback with a bang!!!Now time to focus on my artist 💅
February 23Feb 23 Author CONFIRM YOUR SONG CHOICE FOR BOOT CAMP: PART TWO HERE!REMINDER: Chappell Roan, Nelly Furtado and Kelly Clarkson, you are BACK in the game and need to confirm a song The theme for Boot Camp: Part Two is THE DEEPEST OF CUTS, please embrace it! You have until 17:59 tomorrow to confirm your song choice. For now, let's hear it again for Nadia Oh, Guitarricadelafuente and Ace of Base!
February 23Feb 23 The groups winding up being the most competitive group in the end is kinda gaggy. I have no idea who will go next either.

February 23Feb 23 Just to be clear, is the theme just album tracks? The deepest cut bit is slightly confusing me as to whether it has to have low streams or something.

I don't know if promotional singles count either (ie instant grats etc)Also shocked Ace of Base didn't make it! But tbh it was tough to call in general!
February 23Feb 23 I have another question for the next round that I think is worth asking to clarify ahead of people submitting:Could the album track be a cover of someone else's well known song?

An album track, a hidden gem on an album that wouldn't stick out to the GP but the fans adore, however else you want to interpret it. I don't expect anybody to understand my logic (and don't assume I am said artist ) but think The Cut That Always Bleeds by Conan Gray xAnd yes @dandy* will allow covers, but it can't have been a single for the artist in the competition. I'm sending Shawn's cover of Hallelujah
February 23Feb 23 Also, what if somehow that song ended up charting only in a few small markets i.e. Denmark, but never really being officially released as a single, nor having a music video?!
February 23Feb 23 I feel bad for Ace of Base as they did have much more to offer - but then again Cruel Summer was my least favourite of the round so I can't grumble.I feel like whoever is behind them just unluckily chose the wrong round to take a gamble in with the song choice
February 23Feb 23 That is a surprise to see Ace of Base out, definitely the victim of a very competitive category. Admittedly was a strange choice though going with a cover when they've have had a lot more original material that fits, sad Life is a Flower never got the chance to shine! (Unless they come back ofc. x)Guitarradelafuente did feel inevitable at some point and admittedly I didn't rank this one very high, but I did like his two other entries and admire the risky and distinct approach.Nadia Oh definitely went out on a high, maybe not intentionally so but that chorus, rhyming London with London, that random 'Biatch' before that DIY production, an iconic song to exit on!
