Well played Josh! - like I said it’s been a great run of songs from HAIM and I’m sorry this one didn’t connect so well.

And Tafty thanks for showing me more of Troye -even though I haven’t enjoyed the latest ones so much it’s still been nice to get to know him more.

Happy for Bowie though, and also ROSALÍA who again can’t have been safe by all that much!

Bowie making it through is the right outcome for me (old man supremacy *.*) but poor brave Troye - I guess it being Jonjo means it's not the most surprising that some of the song choices for him have not aligned with my own faves from him whoops but he went out on a relative high for me at least (although if you had sent 'Easy' that would definitely have been in my top 3 if not top 2 of this round!! as that's my favourite song of his).

It definitely sucks to come dead last but I always knew that the ballad round would be super tough for HAIM so no surprise really. It's just not something that's really in their wheelhouse.

I wasn't lying when I commented in the voting thread that I do prefer the Taylor Swift version but I know she's rather Marmite on here so I thought I'd try my luck with the safer option. I had considered "Hallelujah" but I think it would've got the same 'boring' comments as "Gasoline". My first thought for this round was "Down To Be Wrong" but I was worried it might not be a proper fit for the theme.

Anyway, it has been nice to see people say they've made discoveries from some of my entries... just not "Gasoline", ey. I wasn't expecting HAIM to be winning any rounds so to get two 1st places was awesome.

It's sad to be losing Troye too because he was probably my other favourite artist remaining in the contest. I'll definitely continue to vote though as each round so far has given me at least one discovery and that's what it's all about!

To be honest, I wasn't expecting to get this far even. If I had one more round in me then I'd have 100% gone for "The Steps", then maybe "The Wire" if I survived that.

Then I'd have exhausted most of my big hitters. I might've just sent something I loved personally like "Don't Wanna", "Spinning", or "Summer Girl" and then accepted last place.

HAIM were definitely one of the biggest surprises of the competition for me, so you've done brilliantly to showcase some of the best of them Josh really wouldn't have given them any thought before this season, but intrigued to hear some more now.

Aw man... I adore "Falling" too!!! It's my third most played from their debut era behind "If I Could Change Your Mind" and "Forever" which I was able to both send. For those of y'all who did like my entries, I'd urge you to go listen to all of these songs mentioned here 🙊

Aside from the ones already mentioned, Relationships, Gone and My Song 5 would all have been excellent choices for Haim as well. Sad they’ve gone as they’re a great band.

Happy that Bowie scraped through though, hopefully he has an easier time of it next round

Also @awardinary to answer your earlier question about which Weeknd song I'd have sent for ballads round, it would have been 'Earned It'.

Doesn't seem like my ranking have changed the bottom three much. They would be closer in points though.
