They are on a ROLL with the sketches this week! The unconscious bias digs in the Traitors one lol how unhinged is this lengthier Weekend Update also...!

Riz Ahmed was the host I knew least about beforehand yet he's the one I've enjoyed the most. That rap in the DJ segment!!

I've praised the musical guests so far but Kasabian sounded really ropey in that first performance 😳

Okay this was brilliant. George and Jack were absolutely hilarious, looking forward to more from them. Great start, hoping the momentum will last.

It's all relative though - Sky won't be expecting the same ratings as if it were on one of the main channels. Most of the viewership will be from NOW catch-up anyway though.

Agree with all of this. The Traitors skit had me in stitches. 🥲 Kasabian were the only real weak point so far.

I need to watch the full episode but I've always got time for Riz wub He's so charismatic, likeable and funny!

The Traitors sketch was excellent but that Operation skit... As soon as they were in the restaurant and the waiter came running over... I was GONE. Just so simple but SO funny! I've only seen those two and the cold open so far but... this SNL UK launch has been a success to me.

Weekend Update was great once again (Ania and Paddy really make it work as brilliantly as it does). Riz was probably my least favourite host of the three so far oops, but the episode was still entertaining enough on the whole. The Traitors, phones in TV shows/movies and Operation sketches in particular were all on point. The rest, less so.

And Kasabian... lord. I think they need to stop trying to play edgy and cool with the musical guests and just book people that can actually perform and sing live decently.

I thought the Traitors skit fell a bit flat. I think it's maybe because I've saw so many reels on social media of people mocking the show in the same way that it just wasn't anything new for me and I think it was a bit awkward with the delivery at times.

The hostage sketch with Jamie Dornan was absolutely HILARIOUS though even if you could see him constantly looking at the lines off stage.

The Weekend Update was fantastic! The part about how Jesus is the only murdered Palestinian that it's ok to talk about!! Fantastic.

They kinda lost me with that episode ngl. Mastermind was funny but apart from that everything else fell really flat. Got what they were going for with the first football sketch but it wasn't really that funny, and then the one with the children was just so ???

I saw that one. What was that awful northern accent one of them was failing at? Awful skit

Agreed this week had quite a few misses but I did love DadSwap, the pivot to parodying Melania for the cold open this time instead of Starmer again and how old school the rolling down the hill sketch was. “1930s cocaine” also won’t leave my brain.

The charismatic cast keeps me invested even when it’s not the strongest week. Looking forward to finding out the next batch of hosts / performers

Happy with both these selections, doubly cool that they chose someone who is new to the music industry for 2nd May
