I thought 'Rein Me In' had gone to ACR?

Insane run for it, it's an alright but deeply unremarkable song.

It never has been on ACR. It's avoided it ever since its 10th week. This week will be its 35th week charting.

Think Taylor will be number one if she has vinyls! With its day 2 I wouldn't be surprised if it held on Friday.

Her vinyls are supposed to ship tomorrow (thats if people in the uk arnt getting theirs cancelled like a lot of Americans 😅)

I meant as of this week!

Do we think the Swifties will campaign if they know they have a chance of number one?

I hope Opalite can stay at the top. I like it better than The Fate of Ophelia, not to mention Raindance...

Wouldn't mind opalite to continue the fast turnaround of number 1s but its not like it hasn't had a decent chart run so far either way

7 weeks into 2026 with 5 new number ones - the record is still possible assuming Taylor holds! (And we get 36 other new number ones)

The video boost won't last that long either. Just keeping it SCR might be enough.

OCC Report

Taylor Swift is dancing through the lightning strikes en route to her sixth UK Number 1 single with Opalite. The second single from record-setting album The Life of a Showgirl tops the Official Chart: First Look following the release of its star-studded music video and 7” vinyl. Opalite originally peaked at Number 2 last October.

The MV – which premiered exclusively on Spotify and Apple Music on Friday (February 6th), ahead of a wider release on YouTube today (February 8th) – features Taylor’s fellow couchmates from an October episode of The Graham Norton Show, including the host himself, Domhnall Gleeson, Lewis Capaldi and Jodie Turner-Smith.

Should Opalite hold on, it will mark the first time any of Taylor Swift’s albums have produced two UK Number 1 singles. The Life of a Showgirl’s lead single The Fate of Ophelia spent seven non-consecutive weeks atop the Official Chart in 2025.

Rein Me In by Sam Fender & Olivia Dean is tracking towards a new peak of Number 4, while Zara Larsson’s viral hit Lush Life could ascend to Number 5, its highest placement since 2016.

Sombr could claim this week’s highest new entry with Homewrecker (11), which would mark the US rising star’s fifth UK Top 40 hit.

Fresh from dominating the GRAMMYs and ahead of his Superbowl half time show, Bad Bunny’s DTMF is on course to climb 29 places to Number 14; the track previously peaked at Number 26 last January.

Myles Smith & Niall Horan’s new team-up Drive Safe is eyeing a Top 20 debut (20), while J.Cole has a trio of midweek entries following the release of his new album The Fall-Off: Two Six (23); Safety (27); Poor Thang (32).

There could be further Top 40 debuts this week for Calvin Harris & Kasabian’s Release The Pressure (24), Shakira’s Zootropolis 2 track Zoo (35), and Zayn’s Die For Me, the lead single from his upcoming fifth album Konnakol (39).

Yes opalite is the best song on an otherwise quite bad album so would be happy to have it at the top! Plus the quick no1 turnover this year has made for some fresh and enjoyable charts so here for they to continue

I’d be ecstatic at an Opalite number one! Genuinely one of my favourite TS songs

4 ( 7 ) - Rein Me In - Sam Fender / Olivia Dean

Chart run so far ( copied and pasted from Joseph's post on Friday ! )

86-6-12-10-12-15-17-15-13-11-10-11-12-10-12-13-15-13-10-14-12-8-7-5-7-9-14-34-5-6-7-8-9-7

Coming for #1 cheeseblock

Opalite - Taylor Swift
Raindance - Dave / Tems DCL-2
Where Is My Husband - Raye DCL-2

Rein Me In - Sam Fender / Olivia Dean
Lush Life - Zara Larsson

Just saying, if those 2 go ACR next week (based on the predictions thread, I don't much understand ACR myself), and Opalite's video boost wanes as the week goes on. Rein me in and Lush life could be in spitting distance for next week.

I wonder if we'll be seeing a lot more artists exclusively debuting their video on Spotify and Apple Music now. If so, I'm intrigued to see what sort of chart boosts it would provide for others.

Also I'd really love to know how far ahead she is right now.
