Yes @ triple Bad Bunny in the top 20 *_* "Stateside" going top 10 too wub As well as Taylor at #1! "Opalite" is my favourite song from the album so happy it got a week at #1. It's been so nice to see such a high turnover at #1 so far this year - here's to hoping that continues!

Yes I know, which is crazy in itself (even though I know circumstances were in play particularly with the 1989 era and her music not being on Spotify)

I'm not convinced 'Shake It Off' would've been anyway, although 'Bad Blood' probably would've been.

I know she’s ’playing the game’ but it still doesn’t feel right to me that an artist can just drop a load of physicals on a quiet week just to get themselves to number 1! I thought the same with Lewis when he did it

Why not though? So many other artists take advantage of the physical market. 🤷‍♂️I'm no Taylor fan but it seems fair game here. I don't like the constant drip-feeding of album variants but that's another discussion. kink

Terrible song getting to #1 in a very shady manner. A sour way to end the week that's otherwise pretty good for the charts.

Not really shady when loads of songs have had physicals boost there totals to get to number 1 🤣🤣

It's not right because its Taylor doing it when everyone else does it its fine apparently 🤣🤣

I like him though

Since when has that been the narrative?

When Lewis did it there were way worse comments than now

Shakira's not even close to get it. Zoo is only at #48. drama

Comment above lewis is up there with Ed on most hated singers on here 🤭

I did, and I really like 'vampire' too!

Dua would have been #1 without physicals anyway.

And what? If anything that disproves your comment even more

Even if it were the case that no one moans at other artists doing it (which it isn't), the issue there would be people not calling out others, it doesn't absolve Taylor of the shadiness. (insert appropriate disclaimer of it probably not being Taylor personally etc.)

Although this isn't exactly the same as Capaldi etc. anyway, I'm specifically annoyed that they seem to have just decided at the last minute to count the physicals to this week. I would not have minded if they had just included physicals from the start of the week (which is what I thought they were doing but then they changed their mind and then changed it back...) Well I'd still have minded it being an awful #1 but it wouldn't have the stink of blatant manipulation at least x

(the first example of this happening before that comes to mind was 'As It Was' suddenly having another batch of physicals added on a whim and denying Sam Ryder #1 as a result, which was very heavily criticised on here)

Manifesting Sam Fender finding some physicals next week and taking RMI to number 1

Probably won't need them assuming everything has gone to ACR as planned and Bad Bunny fades away (or nothing from Wuthering Heights takes off)

Anyway jump I'll just look forward to the schadenfreude when she falls back to being low top 10 if that next week x At least unlike 'Pointless' the song does feel like it's been a big enough hit to justify having a #1 peak I suppose. Just... not like this x

Glad that 'NUEVAYoL' did get a play (although lol Jack seemingly overlooking the first syllable and introducing it as 'VAYoL', though he got it a bit closer during the top 20 rundown) and a top 15 peak + 'DtMF' being solidly top 5, hoping it'll have enough momentum to rise into the top 3 next week (along with a top 40 entry minimum for 'Tití Me Preguntó' por favor x) but even if not #4 is a more than impressive enough peak for it and it can't have its 2 days as Spotify #1 taken away!

Also fab to see 'Stateside' finally inching into the top 10 (even if basically by default) - I'd really like to understand what logic the producers are going by to play the original of this but the Mall Grab remix of 'Just The Way You Are' though? It can't be based on them just playing what's written down or what's on the Radio 1 playlist because then they'd either play both originals or both remixes... instead they are playing the by far less popular version of both :') Now that I have refamiliarised myself with the Milky track (in original form, still not listened to the remix yet) I can say I am behind its revival x Also happy to see 'YUKON' get its reset that it probably should have got last week, felt a bit odd to have 'WILDFLOWER' back in the top 40 but not that. I'll need to remind myself of 'Babydoll' as well (I don't think I recall being a huge fan of it), this big revival for it feels quite out of nowhere but cool to see it now becoming Dominic's second highest peaker, I hope 'White Keys' can join it in the top 40 soon. And nice for 'Fame Is A Gun' finally creeping back into the top 40 too after a few weeks bubbling under <3 + Ella Langley continuing to climb woo ~

sombr is 4 for 4 for me on quality top 20 hits (I never listened to 'we never dated' so jury is out on that one x), looking like it will be another top 10 for him possibly as soon as next week as well. Oof at the cold reception in here to the Bella Kay song - I'm maybe not enthusiastic enough about it to repeat its title but I do like it! I see 'The Sick' is back in the top 100 too as this one takes off more, would be nice if it could get a new peak, similar to the halo effect of 'Die On This Hill' on 'MAYBE.' I've heard the Calvin/Kasabian song on the radio once and it sounded ok (I'll give it a proper listen soon as I need to vote in the Dance Track of the Week poll today), good to see Kasabian finally getting a post-Tom Meighan top 40 hit I suppose. Calvin now having quite a few recent singles peaking in the 30s or 40s (still a chance this one could go higher ofc but all of his recent hits bar 'Blessings' seem to be stalling quickly).

And finally yay for 'LV Sandals' hanging around well enough to scrape in a top 100 peak as EsDeeKid's other hits all go to ACR - fakemink now a UK top 100 singles artist *.*

edit: forgot to comment on 'Dracula' returning to the top 40! Not quite a new peak but still nice to see the remix giving it another spurt of top 40 life as it remains a tune x
