Saturday at 20:022 days hooray for Robyn. WIsh she had more hits like this on her latest LP.Amy is a wasted talent. Sorry for such harsh opinion, I feel sorry for her but the reality is brutal.... also she had betthanks for running this.
Saturday at 22:312 days Well done to Robyn for the first song from the 2010s or later to win one of these - I don't remember the song too clearly from when it came out, but it gained a following to keep it alive, and deservedly so as it's a strong pop song. I would have liked Amy to take this, but second place is great for her - as a mere #25 hit it was in my top 50 songs of the 2000s at the decade's end, and although since her death 'Lose Is A Losing Game' has hit me to the point that it's moved ahead as my favourite of hers, both are stirring heartbreak anthems and testament to her talent lost too soon. Thanks Rollo for hosting and running this over the last few months!
Saturday at 22:462 days Excellent if expected winner, Dancing On My Own is melancholy pop perfection and I think really influential in helping modern pop become more of a 'credible' choice on par with the usually critically adhered alt and rock acts that happened throughout the 2010s. And trying my hardest to put a positive spin on Calum Scott's abominable cover becoming a hit (one of my least favourite pieces of music ever so not easy), but it does speak to the legacy of the song and I like to think the original will stay in the public consciousness more in the long run xBack to Black is a classic and forever a showcase of what a wonderful yet tragic talent Amy was, and Smooth Criminal is MJ at his real best, I'd put this up there with Billie Jean, everything visually and musically is so slick.Thank you as always for the great hosting Rollo, now let me speculate on what #9s I want to support next year x
Saturday at 23:181 day I actually wouldn't have minded which order the top 2 were in, they're both classics in their own right, but I'm happy at Robyn winning this. A timeless pop song that it's hard to tire of! Thanks as always for your efforts in running these Rollo and I look forward to the #9s rate, whenever that might be
Yesterday at 07:421 day Just as an aside, I was thinking how hard it was for me to choose only 30 nominations for number 8s (and 7s last year) so I can’t imagine how difficult it was for you guys who were involved in choosing the best #1s and 2s! Props for managing that, I think I’d be agonising over those choices forever!😊Great fun all round though, I enjoyed reading everyone’s voting lists and comments!
Yesterday at 13:371 day Is favourite number 7/9 next? I’m fairly new so apologies if it’s already happened.
Yesterday at 14:051 day Rollo has hosted #1s through to #8s now on a yearly basis so I expect #9s will be next yearI have put all the results in this thread https://www.buzzjack.com/forums/topic/211475-buzzjack-chart-forum-ultimate-series-results-collation/
Yesterday at 20:381 day Thank you King Rollo, fantastic job! A strong top 5 - Robyn or Enola Gay would have been my preferences to win but all would have been worthy. Interesting to see how much changed (including my faves tanking) between the first round and the final.
8 hours ago8 hr I can’t wait for the #11 contest in 2029 actually - so many iconic songs just missed out on the top 10!

5 hours ago5 hr wouldn't be against it but I don't expect many of the #11 hits since 2017 would be contending for Buzzjack's favourite anyway!'One of Your Girls' and '360' could make the final 50 I guess
