Welcome to Pop Track of the Week 2026!

Each week, new releases from the worlds of pop and country are selected to go head to head, with one weekly winner. The winners will then go up against future weekly winners later in the year - at the end of each quarter and again at the end of the year - to determine the ultimate winner of 2026.

Week 9 results:

Slayyyter - OLD TECHNOLOGY 7

Ava Max - KiLL iT QUEEN 5

BLACKPINK - GO 5

Alex Warren - FEVER DREAM 4

Erin LeCount - ALICE 4

Avery Cochrane - Losing Streak 2

Bea - Can't Help Falling Out of Love 1

ena mori - 19 Underground 0

Lauv - mariah 0

LØLØ - the punisher 0

Melanie Martinez - DISNEY PRINCESS 0

Presley Regier - If I Was With You 0

Total votes: 28

Slayyyter becomes the first artist in 2026 to top the poll more than once as OLD TECHNOLOGY picks up seven votes, while Ava Max, BLACKPINK, Temu Ed Sheeran and Erin LeCount aren't too far behind. Fun fact too that besides Melanie Martinez our top 5 songs of the week are all of the songs with all-caps titles.

Week 10:

Choose one song that is your favourite from the selection of new releases this week. Feel free to post a rate of the songs in the thread.

No ‘New Religion’ by Bebe?!

it’s in the dance poll

(as is J Lo who gets to be the lucky one to feature in two polls)

  5. December 10 – Angel

  8. Boy Deluxe – Anti Social

  9. Cobrah – Dog

  10. MØ – Hunnybån

  11. Mike Posner – I Went Back to Ibiza

  12. bbno$ – why am i like this

1 Boy Deluxe

2 MØ

3 Harry Styles

4 Johnny Orlando

5 Cobrah

6 Say Now

7 bbno$

8 Olivia Rodrigo

9 EMELINE

10 Jennifer Lopez

11 December 10

12 Mike Posner

The Boy Deluxe song seems to be quite an obscure pick but it was a banger so thanks for a good discovery! Fun song from MØ and I'm liking this one from Harry more than 'Aperture', it's a lil bit of a pastiche of the 'chillwave' sound but it's kind of cool to have a song like that be a big hit I guess x Surprisingly solid song from Johnny Orlando (I never have high expectations for these artists that seem to only exist in you and Joseph's minds xo), decent from Cobrah and Say Now too, bbno$ is better than the usual from his more serious sounding songs. The Olivia track is pretty bland unforch but I know it's just a cover for a charity album so we'll forget it and remain hyped for OR3. EMELINE is not my thing, JLo and December 10 are generic af (any surprise quality the latter had with their debut single is gone already x) and the Posner thing is just some bullshit.
