Gutted to finish last, I was trying to go for a James Blake kinda vibe this round, thank you to the peeps who did give me points though!

Pleased for Matto that Halou won :wub: it was a beaut, rare for me to see my top point in something WIN.

Congrats Mattias, fantastic to see my 20 winning and another of my top votes second.

Ooft at that last minute snatch of my top 3 placing, but I am nonetheless extremely pleased with 4th, this is so much higher when I initially thought it would get a bit lost, and especially for just an album track. If you did like this one, then I'd highly recommend ther album, Enough, filled with a lot of dark, moody electronic music and some of the singles have had some 6Music airplay.

Great top 10, most of them were in my votes or just outside, Horse Vision, Mansfield.tya and They Are Gutting a Body of Water deserved better though, simon a didn't deserve last either, sounded a bit James Blake-ish

Wow... 🥲 Thank you! I was out with a friend and thought I'd be catching up tomorrow but decided to read through this at his place now that we're in separate rooms for the night. I even had a tiny cry, gee... I just... Halou is one of my favourite ever obscure-ish bands out there, I've loved them since my teens. Like I said I entered them to BJSC with 'Political' in 2009 or so (from the same 2001 album Wiser), and I just really wanted to share this song too and figured heh, it's okay to do a self-recycle for once 🤭

I just love Halou's artistry so so much (they also have a bunch of side projects). There's also a 'I'll Carry You - Full Version' which is two minutes longer and with some other minor differences, and I was trying to choose between the two versions to send! The intimacy of that one is maybe even more profound, the breaths and whispers are truly beautiful.

So glad to see 'I Want What I Want' come 5th too, what a beautiful discovery. Thanks Addy for hosting!
