Try not to make it too obvious which artist is yours everyone! Some real giveaways at this stage when you read some of the direct comments about artists. I get the whole "defending my own artist" but without the anonymity it loses something imo.

Yep - though I think it's better if I don't name the song. I was gonna mention this to @Calum after the contest but I don't know if suggesting songs unfairly infleunces things? i.e. if lots of people say they would rank a particular song highly if it's picked then picking that song gives them an unfair advantage I think. But maybe I'm overthinking it!

If it’s picked then it’s fair game. It’s part of the artist’s discography so we can’t really say it’s giving anyone an unfair advantage really.

I don’t really see the point in suggesting songs anyway because everybody needs to strategise for themselves in what they consider the best way to make it as far as possible, not just throwing out a song they might be holding onto for a certain point because people want it

I must be blind then, 'cos I can't see any comments relating to anyone and I still have no real idea who is behind any of the artists lol

Same, I’m clueless 🤣

The comments are my favourite part of the game, I love reading them.

I try and comment on every song so as to not single one act out.

That’s the main thing I missed in the last two rounds.

Very much in agreement with this. I love hearing feedback on my choices. rtd

  1. Kelly Clarkson - Never Again (the best Kelly song, I'm glad this showed up at some point, I love this era so much)

  2. Delta Goodrem - Believe Again (very powerful Delta song and one of those that definitely has something more to it, always been a great cornerstone of this site for me)

  3. Chappell Roan - Red Wine Supernova (I also dislike children one of her best songs she has released, got a real kick to it)

  4. ABBA - Super Trouper (classic if a little bit below the essential tier but that still gets them #4 so)

  5. ROSALÍA - PIENSO EN TU MIRÁ - Cap.3: Celos

  6. HAIM - If I Could Change Your Mind

  7. The Corrs - Irresistible

  8. Scissor Sisters - She’s My Man

  9. Florence + the Machine - Hurricane Drunk

  10. David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes

  11. Nelly Furtado - Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)

  12. Conan Gray - Maniac

  13. Lily Allen - Madeline

  14. Atomic Kitten - Be With You

  15. Troye Sivan - Bloom

Good round, definitely great hands played from Kelly, Delta and Chappell.

Yeah I really enjoy reading the comments too, but I don't think anyone has made it blindingly obvious in their comments which act they're behind, unless I'm missing something?

IU love reading them as well. I don't make them myself as I'm not the best at it, but it's always nice seeing people thoughts and explanations.

01. Chappell Roan - Red Wine Supernova [FAVOURITE!]

02. Kelly Clarkson - Never Again

03. Atomic Kitten - Be With You

04. Troye Sivan - Bloom

05. Delta Goodrem - Believe Again

06. Conan Gray - Maniac

07. ABBA - Super Trouper

08. Nelly Furtado - Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)

09. ROSALÍA - PIENSO EN TU MIRÁ - Cap.3: Celos

10. HAIM - If I Could Change Your Mind

11. David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes

12. The Corrs - Irresistible

13. Lily Allen - Madeline

14. Florence + the Machine - Hurricane Drunk

15. Scissor Sisters - She’s My Man

'Red Wine Supernova' is incredible. Pop perfection. 'Never Again' is an underrated and under appreciated Kelly song, imo. Always has been! An absolute BANGER of a song from Atomic Kitten... the song that this was a double A side with is even BETTER! I actually forgot just how much I enjoy 'Bloom'! Lovely to have revisited that. A great song from Delta and I have indeed heard that Conan Gray song before, but it's a BOP! 'Super Trouper' is fun.

This Nelly song is fun and underrated. Also bops from both ROSALÍA and HAIM but not my faves by either of them. I can take or leave David Bowie's song tbh. I've forgotten how that The Corrs song goes tbh. I think 'Madeline' is overrated and bottom 3 on Lily's most recent album for me... oops! </3 Never been a Florence fan as her voice generally goes through me, I do appreciate some songs though but this isn't for me and that Scissor Sisters track is really annoying and repetitive.

  1. Chappell Roan - Red Wine Supernova

  2. ABBA - Super Trouper

  3. Lily Allen - Madeline

  4. Troye Sivan - Bloom

  5. Scissor Sisters - She’s My Man

  6. HAIM - If I Could Change Your Mind

  7. Kelly Clarkson - Never Again

  8. Florence + the Machine - Hurricane Drunk

  9. Nelly Furtado - Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)

  10. Atomic Kitten - Be With You

  11. Conan Gray - Maniac

  12. Delta Goodrem - Believe Again

  13. The Corrs - Irresistible

  14. ROSALÍA - PIENSO EN TU MIRÁ - Cap.3: Celos

  15. David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes

1 David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes (addiction anthem - my 5th favourite hit of 1980)

2 HAIM - If I Could Change Your Mind (a gorgeous track with their charm and chugging rhythms)

3 ABBA - Super Trouper (stage fright anthem - my 16th favourite hit of 1980)

4 Nelly Furtado - Big Hoops (Bigger the Better) (really like this - has an interesting mix of styles to it)

5 ROSALÍA - PIENSO EN TU MIRÁ - Cap.3: Celos (a hypnotic quality to this)

6 Florence + the Machine - Hurricane Drunk (a lovely track and I enjoy the twinkly harp)

7 Delta Goodrem - Believe Again (another pretty convincing track from her with an epic feel)

8 Conan Gray - Maniac (a good song well performed)

9 Lily Allen - Madeline (this one works fairly well as a standalone and I enjoy the acting)

10 Scissor Sisters - She’s My Man (I quite enjoy the rocky vibe and stompy rhythm but there’s nothing to make it unique)

11 Atomic Kitten - Be With You (this isn’t bad but the ELO original is much better)

12 Kelly Clarkson - Never Again (find this a bit overblown and lacking light and shade)

13 Chappell Roan - Red Wine Supernova (I’ve never enjoyed the lyrics and I didn’t think theirs enough going on musically to compensate)

14 Troye Sivan - Bloom (this grew on me with repeat listens but still felt a little formulaic: certainly didn’t bloom)

15 The Corrs - Irresistible (can see why this did quite poorly as the “Breathless” follow up: just a little bit limp)

01 David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes - this is the clear favourite for me, one of my most listened to songs of all time <3

02 Florence + the Machine - Hurricane Drunk - have such great memories of the Lungs album and always loved this

03 HAIM - If I Could Change Your Mind

04 ROSALÍA - PIENSO EN TU MIRÁ - Cap.3: Celos

05 Scissor Sisters - She’s My Man

06 Nelly Furtado - Big Hoops (Bigger the Better) - I was expecting to like this less as I remembered being disappointed at the time, but it's actually not bad!

07 Conan Gray - Maniac

08 ABBA - Super Trouper

09 Lily Allen - Madeline

10 Atomic Kitten - Be With You

11 Troye Sivan - Bloom

12 Delta Goodrem - Believe Again

13 Chappell Roan - Red Wine Supernova

14 Kelly Clarkson - Never Again - this isn't my taste at all, that kind of 00s pop rock wasn't a trend I've ever been fond of

15 The Corrs - Irresistible - sorry to whoever is behind the band, I'm afraid I've just never been a huge fan of their sound and this isn't one of their better ones

I feel like every time I listen to this Delta song I get angry all over again that it was never released in the UK…

  1. Nelly Furtado - Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)

  2. David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes

  3. Delta Goodrem - Believe Again

  4. ABBA - Super Trouper

  12. Conan Gray - Maniac

  13. Troye Sivan - Bloom

  15. The Corrs - Irresistible
