Each week, new releases from the worlds of pop and country are selected to go head to head, with one weekly winner. The winners will then go up against future weekly winners later in the year - at the end of each quarter and again at the end of the year - to determine the ultimate winner of 2026.

He beats out Niall Horan who comes back with Dinner Party, the lead single from his new album of the same name; and LUNA rounds out the top three with four votes.

The Lava song is a bit of a banger. Otherwise really not a lot to say about any of these. The Jessie Ware song is still better than her lead single but a big step back down from 'Ride' unfortunately, it just feels a bit autopilot, the Bruno Marsification of Jessie Ware I fear. 3-5 were decent. The Slayyyter song wasn't really doing anything for me unfortunately - I did like 'DANCE...' but the other songs I have heard from the album so far aren't convincing me at all to feel like it's worth bothering with the rest of it oop. The rest are also varying shades of mid.
