Is anyone still pinching themselves listening to this?

It’s genuinely relentlessly good

It's pretty awesome to be able to listen to a Madonna album in 2026 and for it to be this f-ing good.

When I heard she was doing Confessions 2, I just felt she was setting herself up for a massive fall when it ended up being "not as good as the first one", but she and Stuart Price have really pulled the goods out of the bag and made an almost non-skip album (not sure I am ever going to seek out Betrayal to listen to).

Regardless of the inevitable "Grandma" jokes, and a half-time show that has not been kind to her (or anyone else who performed), this is becoming the best Madonna era to be following since at least Hard Candy.

School's really grown on me a lot, that bassline is just delicious!

Same! It was probably last place for me at first but I’ve found myself having a real moment with it.

Not sure how far it’ll have ascended in my ranking as the album is just so killer all the way through. Agreed that it is such a thrill to know Madonna can deliver yet another creative masterpiece this far into her career. She continues to set the standard for female pop stars as this sort of critical and commercial success is unprecedented for someone in their 60s.

Pretty good hold, hopefully enough to remain top 15!

I hope so! Going off last weeks sales it would mean 6k give or take, which is an incredible hold from the 7.8k it did last week.

And a silver certification this week too!

At least she gets certified albums in the UK because her last two in America have not been certified and I very much doubt this will unless she pulls something out of the bag.

If she really does re-release it next year I think she might be able to scrape gold eventually. It's very hard for artists who rely on physical sales to get certified in America now though
