May 8May 8 We were just discussing if we were gonna get a lead! I’m glad that we are! Everything about this era has a little mystery so far like album title, single title, the photoshoot. I’m almost expecting her to break tradition here and give us a ballad lead?! Not long to go though! Ilya and Max Martin are the co-collabs on this with Ariana also on the lyrics and production side as always!

He was the director for the 'yes, and?, 'we can't be friends (wait for your love)' and 'the boy is mine' music videos, plus the Brighter Days short film, so I'm pleased they're working together again - as eternal sunshine was my favourite era for her music videos since sweetener.

It started off sounding quite alt sounding, but then it just turned into a bit of a safe pop song (absolutely nothing wrong with that ofc x)A good song. I will be returning to it. 10 hours ago10 hr It would’ve fitted onto the eternal sunshine album pretty well (not a critique though because I love that album and it’s naturally a similar esque path she’s on lyrically)!I do like it though and can see it growing. I think it may be a smash for her hopefully the video has a vitality moment to help her get the #1!I think she’s coming into her own now and finding her real signature sound! If you’re wanting more along the My Everything / Dangerous Woman esque Ari this might not be for you but if you’re willing to embrace who she is now you may well like it?!
