Official Charts Report

Can Drake keep his cool and stop Sam Fender and Olivia Dean’s hot streak at the top? Make Them Cry from the rapper’s recent LP ICEMAN takes an early lead in this latest Official Chart First Look.

On Friday, the Canadian dropped the biggest music bombshell of 2026 so far releasing not only ICEMAN, but two other albums in HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR.

Make Them Cry, ICEMAN’s opening track, could clinch Drizzy his seventh UK Number 1 putting him level with the likes of Michael Jackson in terms of chart-topping singles.

And it doesn’t stop there for the Toronto-born star. National Treasures (3) and Dust (4), also from ICEMAN, look to permeate the Top 5. A historical week in the works!

After becoming the longest male-female duet at Number 1, Sam and Olivia’s Rein Me In starts this week’s race in second position.

Can Gracie Abrams score a third Top 10? Hit The Wall, the first taste of the American’s third LP Daughter from Hell landing in July, currently sits at Number 8.

A huge climb is on the cards for Calvin Harris and Jazzy’s Satisfy, forecasted to move 19 spots and break the Top 40 for the first time (34), as Boston from Stella Lefty looks to elevate further up the rankings (30).

Finally, The Rolling Stones latest single In The Stars from their upcoming album Foreign Tongues, may break the main standings following the release of the track’s music video (36).

Guess Drake will get the #1 album this week but a pretty dead week for album releases otherwise.

Thought I doubt he can get a #1 single these days, especially with such a juggernaut hogging the top spot, but we'll see I guess.

I actually think he might do it, with how fast he got to the top on Apple today is making me expect HUGE numbers tomorrow with at least a couple songs over 1 mill. Guess it all depends on how quickly they drop and rein me in pulls ahead again. Watch me be completely wrong tho lol

Intrigued at Drake! The triple album drop all happening on the same day feels like a new one like has anyone major ever done this before where they’re all separate albums! I know Taylor surprise dropped the anthology with Tortured Poets but it was essentially a deluxe to that album and charted under said album crazy.

I wonder if Drake could get three albums top 5? (Or top ten) it would be crazy if he did the entire top 3 albums but Michael will definitely still prove a threat there I’d say.

Katy Perry's "The Ones That Got The Plays" has now been tagged as a compilation on Spotify and not an album like it previously was. They're just making things up as they go along - will it now not be eligible to chart this week after having a fraudulent appearance in Friday's chart?

Compilations are still albums. It'd only not count if it was just a playlist. (It is available to download on iTunes etc. so it definitely is an album release albeit a pretty pointless one, the only mildly shady thing about it was the streams for its first week being backdated to the start of the week).

Madonna - Finally Enough Love (70 Weeks)

Killers - Rebel Diamonds (98 Weeks)

Phil Collins - The Singles (339 Weeks)

George Michael - TwentyFive (459 Weeks)

And all the others wouldn’t have anywhere near as many weeks in the Top 100 if they weren’t just essentially streaming playlist albums.

I guess it depends how you define fraudulent. For what reason have you said that these albums are fraudulent, and not others?

The majority of GH are - looking at sales charts or physical ones most have spent a handful of weeks on the charts via pure sales so are now just streaming playlists.

The same for Becky Hills ‘Get To Know’ (151 Weeks) - I don’t mind any of them just disagree with Katy being called out on it when the charts are cluttered with GH albums taking full advantage of it.

Agreed , not a huge fan of most of Katy work but again its a case of the norm

Feels like this is the new "anti variants" thing

I think the GH is a proper release if you can buy it in a physical format. Otherwise it's just old music files put in order under a title.

The fraudulent part of my post was because Katy "released" this on Wednesday and had sales count for it from last Friday. She is not being called out on anything, it is more a stupid thing that the OCC have done!?

Really hoping to see Delta Goodrem back in the charts this week after such a long absence.
