The lead single from Kylie's eleventh studio album Aphrodite, All the Lovers, surprisingly only came to fruition towards the end of the creative process for the album, conceived during the last few weeks of recording sessions. Perhaps even more surprisingly too, it was written by the same people that gave us 2 Hearts. That, in my opinion, is a far cry from being anywhere near as good as All the Lovers is, so praise to them for managing to come up with what has undoubtedly become one of Kylie's most recognisable modern hits. A fan favourite, and always a love letter to the fans - 'lovers' - there's a certain euphoria to this song in particular. For all the faults I could find in 2 Hearts and more generally how X's singles campaign was handled, it's a shame All the Lovers and Aphrodite benefit from critics seeing this as a true return to form and slating X as a whole package (this and Aphrodite truly are brilliant though!). The Abbey Road Sessions version of All the Lovers is gorgeous too, and this as the closing number in the encore of the Aphrodite: Les Folies tour was breathtaking; something I don't think she'll achieve again performing this song live.

It's a very special song indeed, it felt like one of the moments in her career where something really transcended beyond the fanbase to have really broad appeal and I felt so proud.

I totally agree, it really did connect outside the fanbase and its a classic Kylie and in my opinion 6th is far far too low for this belter of a song.

Feels like a lot has been 'far too low' for you in this countdown there are only 5 (!) songs ahead of All the Lovers too x

Get Outta My Way

Aphrodite's hold on the top 10 comes to an end here as Get Outta My Way is the first song making up the top 5, coming immediately after All the Lovers too. It certainly feels strange ending up ranking Get Outta My Way higher than All the Lovers in a way, but I really can't deny that this song has become so iconic for so many reasons and I do slightly prefer it; despite both songs bringing something completely different to the table with their own merits. The second single from Aphrodite, this was the first single of Kylie's to miss the top 10 in the UK since Breathe back in 1998. It's wild to think that this was an underperformance of sorts because I think now this is a song that even the casuals lap up so much, and the visuals have embedded themselves in pop culture with memes, gifs, and even the song itself resonating in so many ways. It's Kylie at her best having so much fun, a cheeky edge while at the same time transcending with such effortless pop excellence.

Yes and in total opposite the song at number 5 would be far lower for me!!

Absolute banger, always loved it and I'm glad to see it's grown into the status of being a proper Kylie classic since its release.
