With a newly recorded song I would think she is, I can't think of any other examples. The oldest woman to get a new top 10 before now that I can think of is Tina Turner with When the Heartache is Over weeks before she turned 60, or Diana Ross with Westlife when she was 61 (although whether that counts as new is debatable!).

I hope this shows Madonna's team that they really should've had some physicals ready to go for both 'Bring Your Love' and 'Danceteria', it's obvious people would've bought them and benefited both quite significantly!

Sure that BYL would’ve been a Top 10 and Danceteria a Top 20 if they had.

I’ll never understand why Madonna and Kylie’s team are happy with low peaks rather than an 8-38-70 instead.

Like kylie, madonna needs co ordinated single releases with physicals and top 40s or higher will keep coming through in the UK.

I hope they’ve learned their lesson but somehow I doubt it At least those dreadful Thursday releases seem to be over with. It was like they enjoyed sabotaging their first week

Depends if you mean new release otherwise Kate bush would have that record when Running up that hill returned a couple years ago

I'm quite sure they had, at least, 7" vinyl for "Bring Your Love". However, they made bundles with them during the album's release week, so... 🤷🏽‍♂️

Independently of that, I agree with your statement because every physical release (CDs, vinyl and, even, cassettes) of any single will always be something fans are going to purchase, so they need to take advantage of that.

AI google said Kate was the oldest female to reach number one and Top 10 but couldn’t find any official sources to confirm the latter. Kate and Madonna were born same year so Madonna has beaten the record, new material or not.

Much lower than i had hoped for today.

Yes me too, very likely out by Friday.

It seems all the CDs were shipped last week, though I gather there may still be some pending orders; in any case, the single achieved its goal—and then some.

When the vinyl will be released, it will re-enter the Top 100—perhaps even the Top 20.
