Madonna joins Graham Norton for a world exclusive special on the BBC

BBC Music announce Madonna & Graham for BBC One and iPlayer

As a lifelong fan it is always a thrill to interview Madonna, but to meet her on the dance floor where she first performed in London over thirty years ago felt incredibly special. She remains a legendary pop icon who is still doing what she does best - getting people up to dance!

— Graham Norton

Madonna & Graham will be broadcast on BBC One on Friday 26 June at 10.40pm and on BBC Radio 2 on Saturday 4 July, 6-8pm. Both programmes will be available on BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds for 30 days after transmission.

Sounds like it is going to be a really special interview.

The programme has already been recorded at the legendary Koko in Camden, London — the very stage that hosted Madonna’s first-ever UK show in 1983, as well as the launch of her landmark 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor.

Her interviews around Madame X were a bit cringe, so I am hoping this will be better.

Excited for it.

I am looking forwards to this but I always think she doesn't come across that great with Graham Norton. She is one of the very few that seems to be a bit stiff and awkward around him, hoping she can be a bit more relaxed this time. I'll never forget how awful she was with those doll guys on his show, like she even attempt to hide her disdain! 😟

Reminder that Madonna and Graham Nortons TV special airs tonight on BBC ONE (10:40 pm) in the UK. Unsure if other countries are airing this on tv but I think fans may rip it onto YouTube at some point.

I agree she generally comes across cold and awkward around graham and I sometimes think is it because some former guests were not so nice about her and he didn't exactly defend her.

No performances.

Was awks at times. She def was not having much fun. The banter with Kylie was awks.

Enjoyed this! She can historically be quite stiff as an interviwee but seemed fairly relaxed and willing to have a laugh here. Some good promo for the new album (decent length video clips of new songs from the Confessions II film), her and Stuart discussing how the album was crafted, some of her backstory in there.

Yes, I thought this was really good and so much better than the Madame X interviews I saw.

She was a little stiff to begin with but once with Stuart she seemed to relax. It also came across that she was friendly with Kylie. Though I still don't think she's on the album.

It was good to see some back story and clips from Confessions 2.

I wonder what's the "bigger" tour stuff in the summer?

Release Danceteria soon. It's soooo gooood!!

She’s such a hoot. I have always found her awkward humour endearing

She did soften around Kylie, it was nice seeing that side of her. Great to hear more about what the album means and represents too 🖤

It seemed more like a hint towards next summer, which made me think of her finally headlining Glastonbury…

God she really is a nightmare to interview isn't she, I felt sorry for Graham at times! 🫣

She can be so stiff in interviews, it's obviously not her natural habitat / favourite thing to do, although she did have some funny moments, I liked the banter with Kylie about the cocktail. 😂 The bit where she talked about being a bit jealous of her and her husband having a crush on her was so awkward though, like whyyyyy would you say that, even Kylie looked uncomfortable then. 😂 It was also really interesting to see the difference between her and Kylie with Graham, you can tell how much more relaxed Kylie is around him.

Overall it was decent though, she managed some banter in it.
