'Rein Me In' up by 2.3k on last Friday (just saying)

I don't think multiple songs hanging around the top ten for 6 months is a good thing regardless of whether it's Lush Life or whether it's Rein Me In, it's a sad state of affairs either way.

Hate That I Made You Love Me is on its 18th day, and it did 305.9K yesterday, on its 18th day, Yes, And? did 305.5K. However the week on week drops are completely different, HTIMYLM only fell 27k compared to last Monday, yes, and? on the other hand, was falling 70K+ week on week,, so its looking much more stable

Ah yeah its showing much better stability after its initial drop

Yes unfortunately part of the reason it makes me hate the euros and world cup 🤣

Olivia is doing really well but it feels like a soft week for stream/sales.

There’s some big drops week on week too which will pull the market down

Ariana -27k

Taylor -60k

Drake -52k

Malcom Todd - 21k

Zara (MS) - 24k

Zara (LL) - 15k

Olivia D (MIN) - 19k

RMI is declining but is on par or significantly less than others around.

Excluding new entries the market in the top 200 is down by ~210k streams. Once you include the new entries/Olivia's album the top 200 market is up week on week although not sure by how much exactly (adding in the NE it's up by ~5 million although that's not a true figure but it's probably somewhere like up 1 mil+)

Edit: Managed to figure it out - the top 200 is up by ~1.7 million streams compared to this time last week or ~+7.2%.

Edited by Envoirment

Could the reduction in streams be to do with the World Cup anyway? Millions of people will either be watching games live or rewatching the matches/highlights the day after which in turn means they are not streaming music like they may usually have been doing magic

RMI is down almost exactly 1% week on week on Spotify so far - will be interesting to see the end of week result.

I mean I could give multiple examples of one country being ‘obsessed’ with a song and another ‘not giving a toss’ - it’s a bit of a mute point.

Indeed, it’s a good thing surely to see a bit of variety between regions for once!

The irony is RMI goes to ACR due to the World Cup!!

Kinda want RMI to avoid acr, i mean it’s had it’s time for sure but fascinating to see a song last so long. Also, if the usual posters who have posted 50 times a week about its progress had have been talking about Lush Life I’m sure the attitude would be a lot different.

No, I'm pretty much equally ready to see the back of 'Lush Life' at this point lol

Rein Me In is obviously getting more attention as it's hanging around the top spot but fairly sure there's only a similar minority of posters that would be against Lush Life returning to ACR at this point.

Yeah Lush Life and Midnight Sun need to do one as well really. But then I’d say 80% of the current top 40 needs to either go on ACR or double ACR!

Hope 'Miss You' re-enters top 40. Oliver Tree along with the Chemical Brothers and Milky have come to save 2026's flagging chart dance scene! drama

Midnight Sun had a remix released this year though which helped it rise so really its newer then RMI

Highly debatable - ‘Iris’ by the GooGoo Dolls had a remix too does that make it new despite its 220 weeks in the charts?

Well they are nowhere near as vocal.

Exactly Midnight Sun is older than Rein Me IN yet its celebrated weekly

Eh to be fair "Midnight Sun" only started charting this year and has been on the chart less than half the time "Rein Me In" has. Plus it's been a massive uphill battle for Zara to get another big solo hit so that's why it's been so great to see cheeseblock

But yes please to "Lush Life" going back to ACR. We should hopefully see a lot of songs go to ACR come Friday! Right before another heatwave boosts everything again to go back to SCR lol

It would be an interesting comparison to see the uproar of Lush Life were no1 for ages. Not that the no1 position matters as it’s been top 10 a similar amount of time and all this year so far. It’s really to do with the song.

Both songs need to go on ACR, but then so does everything else currently on 2 weeks of decline!
