Its someone's fault considering the Cds weren't mean to be shipped until the 19th and were released conveniently early

This literally isn't relevant, let it go. Also since when has the chart been a ranking of the biggest names in music? Being #1 doesn't mean you're bigger than Taylor Swift as an artist, it just means

But i thought you wanted more physical media

But only for artists they like 😉

I'm sure 'Rein Me In' would be back at #1 this week regardless of having another physical drop or not (unless Taylor has conveniently decided to leave another 30,000 CDs to ship until this week), it's already ahead of 'stupid song' on Spotify even excluding its multiple versions. (Of course this isn't the first time people have kept going on about an entirely superfluous Sam Fender physical drop but hey ho)

I believe the 7” vinyl of IKIIKY are meant to ship this week. This week is where i totally would’ve understood a complete physical dump as it’s the movie release week but ig she just wanted to extend her run as long as she could

This is normal - shipped ahead of the stated release date so they arrive on time. The issue here is that the song's already available and therefore the sales counted immediately. It's happened before, one example that comes to mind is Dove Cameron's Boyfriend, which claimed its top 10 peak from a last minute physical dump thanks to shipments just before the planned release of the CD.

Ooh, look what escaped ACR! Top 20 very possible now.

I did have a significant increase on Spotify last week (ANOTR)

'Dreams' would probably have been top 20 if it had avoided, so I think that's gone back to ACR.

Also 'Just The Way You Are' certainly would have been, so its 20 week run on SCR is definitely over.

I reckon when Sam Fender brings out a new album, he’s still gonna milk Rein Me In

Has he even milked this? It’s no1 due to the fact songs that are big stay big for longer these days especially if you rise to the top.

Hoping the hot weather can bump On 2nite and Talk To You into the top 10, sad that Just The Way You Are couldn’t repeak but these two are also absolute summer anthems. Rein Me In and the MJ songs can also do one now, come on Taylor clear the warehouse!

Rein Me In coming for a 14th week at #1 and a year in the top 20.

That is brilliant, but the most impressive stat will be the 4 separate visits to #1 in a single chart run. Long may it make a mockery of the ACR rules cheer

Hope that “stupid song” can clinch the #1 spot.

Me too but I prefer to call it Rein me in 😁

Just been looking but since 2016 the number 1 songs each year has only been between 10-20 and 2014 had 38 number 1's that turnover is crazy

In another 3 weeks it’ll also have the longest consecutive run in the Top 40.

I do wonder if in the future they’ll be a change to ACR (not that RMI is there yet), Man I Need has been ACR for months and looks like being back in the Top 10 this week cheeseblock

I think they should just scrap every rule and just let the charts be natural

It’s a shame Taylor Swift seems to be done with her Life Of A Showgirl era. I’d love for her to push another single from that album
