Friday at 16:413 days Up the toon on Radio 1 is NOT what I wanted to hear, Shakira should've got it etc
Friday at 16:413 days Up the NORF. Longest running UK Number 1 and Prime Minister within 2 weeks. We truly are a POWERHOUSE
Friday at 16:423 days Just noticed Jack never spun the wheel for another no. 1 if people didn't like the contenders.
Friday at 16:423 days Being a Geordie I probably hear Sam Fender more than what the average person does (not that he’s unavoidable here) but pubs here will often play him And he’s probably bigger here than anywhere else in the UK!I still feel like Seventeen Going Under feels like his signature song but I can see why this has done so well (props to him and Olivia!!). Hopefully now ACR does loom but with the press this will get maybe it’ll get another boost incoming?!On another note I out of curiosity just played the previous record holder I Believe (it’s a song I actually was aware of but just never knew the artist 😆 and didn’t realise it was that song.

(especially with ACR which any song that wanted to have a shot at the record would necessarily need to swerve multiple times after already being #1 for months)

Friday at 16:443 days If it's taken into consideration that history has been made in the UK, could Sam's US label (I'm looking at you, Capitol/ICLG) do something to promote the track there now?

Was still selling strongly. No it wouldn't, it was selling about 60k by the time Whigfield came around. They deleted it as a marketing gimmick to try and match Bryan Adams, as they knew 'Saturday Night' was coming and that boosted it up to 104k that week (which was about 40k behind Whiggy)

You ruined my night completely so you could have the number one and I hope now you can spend it on lessons in grace and decorum. Because you have all the grace of a reversing dump truck without any tyres on. So Sam, take your money and get off my property. Its kind of ironic that he was made into a meme and a bully from this when it was actually the woman's narcissistic behaviour that led to this but noone remember that 😢He really was the victim in all of it
