I don't agree with this. The story is them breaking the record, there's not much more to report on now so there won't be further media boosts after this week I don't think.

The media only reported on it when they beat Wet Wet Wet and Bryan’s Adams and now that they’ve broken the all time record - it wasn’t a news story on any of the other 16 weeks it’s been #1 and I doubt it will be again if it stays at the top.

The only other time I can see it being a news story is when it inevitably ends its historic run and they report on that with its overall weeks? I can’t see it doing tooooo much longer? I reckon it’s got max another 3-4 weeks if that?

It'll of got a boost from the coverage for this week, wouldnt even be suprised if it starts dropping again by midweek and this is probably its last chance at avoiding ACR

I think it might have another 1-2 weeks max, I’m not even sure of that tbh. Guess it depends how Ari performs this week.

It’ll get a boost this week from the media coverage and the fact he performed it for the first time in the US with Olivia yesterday which is all over socials - now that’s done I think it’ll start on a natural decline.

Spotify has updated, Ariana's highest song is now 'hate that i made you love me' at #3 and 'petal' is #4

'hate that i made you love me' initially went #1 -> #7 before stabilising so a softer day 2 drop for 'petal'

I think it’s (probably) a fair assumption that she will start to fade / submit to ACR before Sam and Olivia do 😂

Sadly she is. Last week she was #1 on Amazon, Apple Music + Youtube and was #1 on streaming overall.

This week she's down to #3 Amazon, #4 Apple Music and her lead on youtube is slowly decreasing. Would love it if Shakira did manage a week but I fear she'll go to ACR before "Rein Me In" given what's happened so far this year
