Also everyone else can do what they want but my downloads will absolutely be single shipping week! We’re guaranteed at minimum 5k CDs will be sold, hopefully and potentially a lot more, I really don’t think it’s worth going all guns blazing for a #72 peak if we’re lucky next week.

SayHey are pushing for immediate download too - I’ll do the same as I done with Padam and see where I feel my downloads will be best placed and at the moment that’s CD release week unless by some wild stretch this looks like taking off and getting a good placement in week 1.

I commented on both the Hunsnet post and also the thread in SayHey FB to see if it might be worth considering that's a better idea.

I do get where your coming from OCC and credits are frustrating but Kylie is still on the physical version that you are purchasing so its still a moral victory for Kylie 😁

Kylie has to to be credited as many physical sales will be all her fans plus she is clearly on the artwork.

No I really think we should wait. We don’t want a Real Groove situation (which let’s be honest is more likely than lightning striking twice with another Padam, it is a Madge collab but nothing is a guaranteed hit in the streaming era)

Waiting a few days to download a song is fine, waiting potentially 4 or 5 weeks is not necessary.

I wish the physicals were aligning with the release week and then we wouldn't even be having this conversation

But yeah, I think wasting those downloads in the first week when they're evidently selling HUGE physicals we can add downloads to that week and help its actual peak position seems mindless and daft.

I'll only reconsider if at the end of next week it's looking like unexpectedly grabbing a top 10 position officially or something.

I would not be surprised if they release the Afterhours and the Afterhours Radio edit both on Friday and boost the streaming numbers

To be frank it charting at #56 or not charting at all won't make a difference to visibility. Without physicals I just can't see it getting very high, it is a highly anticipated collab but it's also a remix of a song that's been out for months already and if a brand new Sabrina Carpenter collab could only get to #29 without physicals I can't see this challenging that. I would rather it get a higher peak a month from now than 2 just alright weeks. In an ideal world it would take off on its own and we wouldn't have to worry about a few thousand downloads, but obviously there's no guarantee!

It worked for Padam when people held back on downloads.

Anyway, each to their own - I’ll download when I feel by sales will help the most.

It's definitely a wait and see thing. For all we know it will end up missing the chart in both the first week and the physical week 🤓 (lol, but seriously I do have faith it'll do good numbers physically). I'm just not sure how many people in either fanbase will be convinced into holding off on downloading for 4 to 7 weeks depending on when the CDs are actually being dispatched in September. Even if people on social media did listen to the logic of it and decided to not download for now, I have no doubt that it would still end up high up on iTunes on release date, regardless (because not everyone is tuned in to what people are saying in fan forums, and so they'll likely be inclined to download straight away).

I just know when it comes to that week and those physicals put it in the first look top 10 (maybe even near the top?), they'll all be saying "oh damn, I've already bought it and I can't help now"

(Unless they release an extra download to go with it or something)
