Will await the sales figures but it’s brilliant to see Phoebe at #1 at this point 😍

  • APT - 7 weeks at number 2

  • There is no signed Kylie/Madonna single - there was a competition last week to win ONE copy. Also vinyl have not been shipped - it was a mistake, people who ordered the free returns/protection cover

  • 'J-Tull Dot Com' is Jethro Tull's 1999 album, with a title that couldn't be from any other era. 😂

Of the previous 8 Script albums, including a GH, 6 of them went to #1 (the other two were #2) so I imagine they'll try to push for another #1, but I do think they'll be frontloaded so I wouldn't be surprised to see Phoebe hang on, I guess it depends if her streams can hold up throughout the week. I don't know how strongly either of them are playing the variants game though.

Phoebe definitely has quite a lot of varients. The dinked edition vinyl sold out very quickly and that was a 7K run, and that’s before any of the others are added

I think the last Script album had loads of sales excluded due to a competition without a "no purchase necessary" disclaimer, it'll be interesting to see how close it is at the top but given Phoebe's superior streaming she'll likely stay on top.

Phoebe Bridgers is a current artist who's built a sizeable following, The Script are yesterday's news and I doubt many people even know or care.

A little harsh on the Script considering how well their albums have done in general i like both these artists so im happy for either to be number 1.

They literally announced a tour a couple weeks ago of the back of their Take That support , people will care, be interesting to see the numbers

You are inviting arguements with this comment 😭 i appreciate phoebe did open for Taylor but she has been big for a while and has had quite a “cult like” underground following, she just hasn’t put an album out in 6 years so im not too sure you can put her in this category tbh?

Yeah her last album Punisher sold almost 200K here I think so a #1 follow up was always potentially likely. Especially as the subsequent Boygenius album hit #1 here.

Well thats pretty obvious the eras tour finished 2 years ago id be suprised if anyone was still benefitted from that 🤣🤣

Ironically though her most successful single in the last 6 years is her feature on Taylors Nothing New

I remember reading at the time that 70% of those attending the gigs only went to see Taylor because Phoebe was also playing, most were heard saying their favourite era in the tour was ‘Punisher’

good numbers for Phoebe - slightly higher than I was expecting, but I'm certainly not going to complain!

I wonder if Lost Weekend is seeing its streams combined with the (Reprise) that ends off the tracklist - by itself, it's been outstreamed by a handful of different starred-out tracks (The Outside, Kill Me, Bobby and I Can't Wait).

Perhaps in terms of chart peak, but it’s only her 14th biggest song on Spotify currently. (The new album doesn’t register in these stats yet)
