God, this was way too hard! I had 22 songs I wanted to give points to, and I feel terrible about the ones I had to leave out.

It wasn't necessarily my favourite here but Dambala really deserves to win this, an incredibly unique and spectacular listen.

But let's be honest Kate Bush will landslide this with ease.

There was one song I was expecting to vote for just based on the artist, but the song didn't end up in my top 10.

The Kate Bush song didn't get a good reaction at the listenthrough. I'm going to tip Alanis Morissette for the win with Lauro Nyro as a dark horse. Dolly Parton can't be ruled out after this week's events.

As always when you’re hosting, it’s interesting to see the guesses and know if any of them are correct or not.

It also is slightly amusing to think that we put a lot of emphasis on Spotify plays in the veto process, only for one entry to suddenly end up in the UK top 10 there 🫣😂

Other songs being mentioned - I can see them getting high votes from some but nothing from others

As a fan of singer/songwriter music, especially ones with feeling, I’d kind of like one of those to win ❤️

Laura Nyro would be an exceptional winner. ❤️

(I’d be quite surprised if a ‘60s track had wide enough support though.)

There are genuinely so many great songs. Some are stronger lyrically, some are more emotional, some are more modern... Some of them ended up with no points from me simply because they couldn’t make it into my top 10, whereas in another edition they could easily have ranked much higher. Personally, I’m rooting for my entire top 10 every single one feels like a 12 to me.

Ah I didn't like Laura Nylo at all, tbf this wasn't really my lane in general this edition but I surprisingly found some brilliant discoveries. Was very easy to chop down my votelist though.

I think most of us think of MOR stuff when we think “singer-songwriter” so I was pleasantly surprised to hear all the more leftfield stuff here tbh

I watched the Only Connect episode broadcast last week. There were a few music ones that I got right. I will keep watching :)

Oh I didn’t realise that was happening, sorry. I’ve totalled everything up now so if people are happy with a pretty basic presentation then I could do the tables later and results this evening?

Shall we do one of those react things? So 👍 for tonight and ❤️ for tomorrow… I’ll go with whichever gets most
