No idea what Adele's and Dido's mentors are playing at deploying two of their biggest songs so early on! 'Bubblegum Bitch' is a total bop though looking forward to new new discoveries!

Honestly 'Hello' is one of my least favourite of the big Adele hits so I don't think it's a bad play x

I agree tbh, but I do rate it fairly high though so will be interesting to see how it stacks up against the others.

To be fair to Bre, I get the impression that people actually don't rate 'Hello' quite as highly as at least 4 or 5 of her other big hits (even though it's definitely up there as one of my personal faves)

To be honest, I would feel the same if it was any of the Adele's 10 most streamed songs on her Spotify page!!!

She's the one with the most HUGE hits out of all categories!!!

Four days before 'Easy On Me' came out, there were 11 Adele songs in the UK Spotify chart, and 'Hello' wasn't one of them

Not a whole heap of big hitters here but then again I think I’ve only heard half of these songs.

If Queen Milica pulls off the impossible, I must say I am worried Tove and Agnes - not their best efforts by any stretch 😬

I've just checked my Adele playlist and now Brer mentions it, Hello actually didn't make the cut ooops so I take back what I said and change my stance to Brer's correct opinion.

It definitely feels like one of those songs that was gigantic and a cultural phenomenon for a time and then the moment passed (remember the adverts on X Factor trailing it!), whereas other songs from the same album stood the test of time more. It was a great lead single, with its 'it's me, I'm back' kind of statement but I question if it would have been a particularly huge hit if it had been released at any other point during that era.

I do get the concept of playing it first, it's almost like a concert opening song - you want a big hit that will please people, but not the biggest one. Adele is so big that on the face of it it feels like one of her biggest, but when you look at the stats beyond its initial chart run, it's not really anymore. Also, 'Hello' is just thematically a great song to play as your first song.

But how can HRVY send his entire discography at once?

I think sending Hello is a great play, though that’s just my opinion.

Anyone got any guesses for who anyone is at the moment? Or are we discouraged from discussing that this time?
