February 27, 200719 yr Anti-war song heading for top 10 placing Source: Music week An anti-war protest song only available as a download is on its way to a Top 10 placing in this week’s singles chart, according to midweek sales figures. The song, which is currently inside the top five, is a cover of Edwin Starr’s War (What Is It Good For?) by a band called Ugly Rumours – the same name as Tony Blair’s university band. It is available as a £1.50 download, with all proceeds going to the Stop The War Coalition, and its launch follows a major peace march in London on Saturday, where the song was promoted. it was also promoed in the sunday papers. might have the number if anybody wants it.
February 27, 200719 yr I knew Take That would be Number 1! I hope they stay there all week! same here!!! its a much better number one than the ultra boring fray. and they have more of a chance of beating westlife in the #1s all time list

February 27, 200719 yr Nicola Ward from Cushh was originally in the Popstars The Rivals final 10 girls but quit early on. I KNEW I recognised her from somewhere! She was also in girlband Cookie in 2005 (remember 'Do It Again') before she quit them too and replaced for the release of the single

February 27, 200719 yr Mikey and many other people seem to have forgotten that the terrible 'Chick Fit' is download only and was made this because the label and the group knew that a flop was coming.
February 27, 200719 yr JON seems to be forgetting that it doesn't matter if something is download only, as it can chart as equally as anything else. Also, if its so 'terrible', why is it in so mnay peoples Personal Charts? Are you predicting they will be dropped, perchance?

Also, if its so 'terrible', why is it in so mnay peoples Personal Charts? Are you predicting they will be dropped, perchance? In my opinion it is terrible and if it is so popular with people then why has it not got a much greater amount of airplay and videoplay? Surely it can't be that popular? And yes I was aware that downloads only can chart yet if it was going to be a decent sized hit then surely the band would have been keen for it to be released physically and the label would have agreed with them? In terms of them being dropped, I have not previously predicted that however it does appear that their future with the label is under scrutiny so yes I am predicted that they will be dropped or at least if they are not, then I expect there will be no further releases from them.
