Let`s all e-mail radio one and tell them we want to hear all 40 songs in the chart, not just 33, of `em!! Lets see if they will listen to us (the listeners)...See the thing is, on Monday evenings BFBS Radio 1, play them all in just 2 and a half hours, its easy and a good listen..shame it doesnt go out on a Sunday...coz they are on Sky Digital.

They didn't listen when I complained about JK and Joel a few years ago, so why would they listen now?

its a shame they didn't do a re cap of 40- the official number1 at the end

Miss some songs from 21-40, but say what they are <_< Just like JK & Joker xox.

When will they stop f*cking about with the format and give people what they actually want? If they want crappy retro-type features stick them in another show.

 

Not that there's much chance of anything happening soon judging by this quote from Radio 1's "(Dick)Head of Programming"

i have to confess that it wasnt actually as bad as i was expecting, however......

 

1. i didnt like the way they missed songs out and only refered to them in the recaps, but im glad theyve bought the recaps back, felt like a proper old school chart

 

2. why keep playing rihanna/jay-z, enough already......

 

when i think of something else ill get back to you but overall, alot better than JK and Jerk but i still want to start a nationwide campaign to bring back mark goodier!!!!!!!!

Play the full Top 40 please just like the "old days" <_<

I don't really care TBH. They read out the chart and we find out who's #1. I couldn't care less how it was done :P

I don't listen to the charts any more, but if I were 14-15 again I wouldn't want to hear interviews or enter competitions. The chart should be counted down by one person and the records should be the star of the show - not the presenter.

I preferred the original way of playing the complete Top 40 - that's the fairest way so that those that are not on the rubbish R1 playlist get an airing as against just what the stupid panel chose.

 

There should only be one presenter to cut out all the banter. In this case it should be Ferne.

 

Also extending the show to include the New Entries and climbers from 41-75

 

In Germany & Holland they play their complete Top 50s and include the New Entries and climbers from 51-100

just play the whole thing. that worked for 45 years and we've now, in the last 5 years lost two 'fresh' formats because no one liked them. i am disgusted at the fact they not only not played songs but didn't mention them until the recap. how are u supposed to know where u are. i listened to Chris Moyles this morning-notice everyone on his crew thought the new chart show was great-he was making fuun of someone who complained that the chart didn't play some songs-he said no one cares about number 37. well, if i had bought the song at 37, i'd care where it was! rant over.....for now.

 

I was disappoitned by them for playing samanda,biffy clyro and akon instead of aly and aj, enrique,foo fighters,phonics and robyn but glad they skipped penate and nash.

I'd do it the way JK and Joel did it - miss some songs out, but say what they are and play a bit from it.

 

The thing I dread - what it's gonna be like when the BBC allow phone-in competitions again.

 

Edit - Oh, and make it necessary for them to play new entries into the Top 40, even if they've been outside it on downloads.
