That could sound about right, if it did 126k Mon to Wed, its another 35k practically

66K Monday

100k Mon to Tues

126k Mon to Weds

160k Mon To Thurs (maybe)

Thanks for the info.

I've just noticed that if things stay as they are, the top 3 will be the same as they were in Xmas week :P

The chart battle is over. :D (Well it's been over since the start of the week but I was still nervous lol)

Well done Leona! The first person from X-Factor to have two #1s!

My prediction for the week's sales:

1. Leona: 202,000

2. Take That: 92,000

3. McFly: 35,000

4. Sugababes: 34,000

5. Britney Spears: 33,500

Just think the last time Leona was at No.1 was on her 4th week with A Moment Like This when it barely scraped past 20k :o

And good for McFly who have got a semi-big download hit (iTunes top 20) and a song that has sold steadily throughout the week instead of 80% of its copies on monday

It's also true that Leona will have the highest first week singles sales, since moment like this first topped the charts!.

The McFly song is actually quite good, and seems to appeal to people who wouldnt normally be part of their hard core fan base.

Its nice to see a two big selling hits that aren't for charity or aren't a tv show winners single

I know Leona had the X Factor promotion last week but its rare for a second single to sell in such big numbers from a reality star...Take That's sales are amazingly impressive bearing in mind Patience only sold about 60k in its first week

But Patience sold 22k on downloads the week before - Rule The World's download was held back

Usually friday and saturday's sales are a third of the total sales so i think in total:

1) leona - 225k

2) take that: 100 k

3) mcfly - 36 k

4) sugababes - 34 k

5) britney - 30 k

It will still be less than Rule The World with those first 2 weeks combined

I doint get why people say she cant sing!. If you dont like her style, fair enough, but to say she cant sing is ridiculous imo.

Gotta be honest too, I don't like her style of singing but I would have to say she does have a very good voice if you like that kind of singing. I've never liked Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston's voices though - I remember almost pmsl when the two of those were at an Oscar's ceremony a few years back trying to out high-screech other. It was wonderful unintentionally funny entertainment.

Amy's more my cup of tea style wise though.

But congrats to Leona - the girl's done well!

It's a great week for singles however very bad for albums the number 1 might only sell 30000

McFly have beat Take That to number 2 on the HMV chart, when they were lower than them all week.

But Take That are probably still miles ahead all together due to their downloads.

I think we can all say with confidence that regardless of McFly being ahead on the HMV chart - McFly don't have an icecube in hells chance of getting near Take That. ;)

no one seems to care about albums this week so here is my opinion-every copy of the hoosiers should be flushed down the nearest toilet-except that would be cruel to toilets everywhere

i have to say that all year the singles chart has been more interesting than the album chart.
