(IMO) He has the intelligence and personality of a peanut, is utterly full of himself, has a gratingly irritating voice and minimal songwriting ability. It is essentially his producer's and writers who are talented, the one's who sculpt his sound and image. Having a six-pack and being able to sing half-decently do-not compensate for a complete lack of charisma or genuine "talent", though compared to this years X-factor winner... Ok no I won't. That's just my opinion, but anyway.

 

He has a fabulous personality, is down to earth, AS NOTED BY FIONA PHILLIPS who said others should take a leaf out of his book) and I have seen him on stage. i can see Leon being number 1 for 3/4 weeks tops.

To be honest i like both Shayne and Leona - have both their new albums and have really enjoyed them. I don't care if they write their own songs or not, as long as they are good and they can carry them off well. Which is what they do.

 

I think the only way i can see Leon surviving is if he went down a Ronan Keating type road instead of a Ray Quinn. But i think the controversy surrounding X Factor whatever the view and whether it was rigged ot not - will have an affect on sales

Thats alright. I think even if there was a saturday update, i doubt one would happen this week - considering its the last weekend before christmas

Sorry if things arent allowed to be asked anymore, i'm just checking. Does anyone have any sales figures for tangled up? Thursday or even better Friday? This is a question for anyone who knows.

Leon will prpbably stay for another week or two, but looking at possible new releases at the start of the new year, Mika is a strong possibility, or you might have the awful Basshunter or Bodyrox, as dance tracks tend do do well at the start of the year. Not forgetting single sales at the start of the year are pretty low and dismal, so you might get one of those tracks that you never thought of hitting the top spot.

The audience of the finale was the biggest out of the 4 series, so ITV1 has made much profits than any previous year.

And anyway the single will still be within the biggest single sales of the year, so I can't see how Simon could be disappointed. I'm sure he wouldn't have liked to see a winner outselling Leona anyway, so it's the perfect scheme for him.

 

Everything has to be considered on a relative point of view. Yes he won't be the biggest winnder that the UK has ever seen, but it's far from being the flop of the year, so at the end no need to be that harsh with him.

In france the last winner of Star Academy debuted on the album chart at... #121 :o This IS a flop, Leon is not.

I was in Woolies yesterday buying some DVD's and they had loads of Leon's single on sale in a seperate case, I asked if it was selling well and the girl told me not really, she had another 4 boxes behind the counter and said it was being reduced next week. to 1.99, album top 10 was full of empty spaces in the chart, I reckon sales will be huge this week. :D

I hope The Spice Girls GH starts selling well after their amazing Live performance of their Classic Xmas no: 1, 2 Become one on Strictly come dancing results show. I really hope it climbs this week if not next week but again I fear everyone has already got their other albums and singles so don't think last night performance made a huge difference. If only they sang Headlines too, that would have helped.

Can't believe it was their first live performance in 9 years and they looked fab!

The most watched final, but the worse selling first week sales for the series winner.
