Well, good on ya Malcolm. I can see a return to pre-Britpop times coming when it was a real thrill to see a truly indie record hit the top 40, so to get in on Christmas week is a massive triumph.

Amy Winehouse with both albums in the top 10 is giving me hope, I don't want Leona to beat Amy in sales this year, so hopefully this will help. But I still think Leona will beat her to it.

 

Not now - I think Leona needed to have been selling 80,000 by today to indicate a huge gap closing effort by Sunday. As it is I think she'll still be around 100,000 behind come Sunday's chart and won't make that up in the final chart of the year. I predict she'll fall 30,000 short in the final year-to-date sales.

Ernie K Doe- Top 50. Could peak on downloads alone. (Britney went 3-6 on a physical release, i think Freemasons went from 8 to 8 and Chris Brown from 40-38 too and Andy Williams just last week 25-21, i think all of these were physical releases that didn't make much an impact

I'm disappointed in Leona not selling more...it's only 1.7K more than last week at the same point...she needs to step it up, cos who knows whether Pestlife sales will be that frontloaded as it is xmas week. As for beating Amy, it's not impossible but it is highly unlikely!

Urrgh who is still buying Valerie? it was a piece of c**p 3 months ago and now people still can't see that. another boring xmas then.
