So Nickelback finally release a light-hearted track, defies everyone's expectations, and has a completely unpredictable chart run (who'd have thought three months ago when Nickelback were considered lucky to even make #19 that they'd go on to be #1). And the people are still moaning. You have a point. I think the Nickelback song is awful - but from a chart follers point of view it would be an amazing feat for it to get to #1 after so long. Of course, I would MUCH prefer the fabulous Duffy to beat them!

And the people are still moaning. See I would call "Rockstar" extremly dreary, it's a dull song IMO.

February 12, 200817 yr Im not sure whether its because ive joined BJ, but ever since i have i have hated really bad songs less and less. I can listen through Nickelback and Basshunter probably about 3 times in a row without effecting my mood loads. Ive just learnt to block bad sounds out, however a year ago i would go mad if i heard Basshunter once. I quite like Nickelback even. The only exception recently is T2- Heartbroken :puke2: :puke2: :puke2:
February 12, 200817 yr Quite interesting battle for no 1, especially since there are no sales figures for today. If Rockstar's lead is less than 2k I think Basshunter will overtake it during the week, if it is more than that we probably will get a new no 1. Rockstar seems (obviously) have the best day against Basshunter on Sunday since it is the weakest day of the week for physical sales while, just like last week, Basshunter seems to pull ahead on every day after that so by Saturday night I think it is gonna be very close. And for Duffy & H & O, I doubt neither will be contenders for no 1 if there won't be really big surges on downloads very soon. If they are still behind Basshunter and Rockstar on Thursday on downloads I doubt neither will have any shot for no 1 this week.

February 12, 200817 yr Glad its close... But I reckon Nickelbacks gap will rise during the week, but Basshunter's sales may rise friday/ saturday as it will be played in clubs etc. So it will prob be one of the closest races for number 1...
