The BuzzJack Record Of The Year is back for a 3rd year. I've been asked to run the competition yet again and after the nomination process [where 72 songs were chosen by BJ members and I added the final 28 to speed up the process] the top 100 have been selected and divided into 10 groups of 10.

The groups have been selected randomly based on the order they were posted in the nomination thread. So for every 10 songs, one was placed into each of the groups. The order the groups will be posted in has also been mixed up.

Each round is going to run for about 3 days to enable us to get through them all by Christmas. The closing date of each round will be posted in the topic title. The rules are simple. All you have to do is select a top 5 from the 10 songs in each group and rank them from your favourite to your least favourite. The no1 song in your selection will get 5pts and so forth. The track with the most points will make the final 10. YES only 1 song from each group is going through this time. Ooohage.

YOU MUST SELECT AT LEAST 5 SONGS OTHERWISE YOUR VOTE WILL NOT BE COUNTED.

A Youtube video will be added to a separate post for each track incase you haven't heard it. A thread will also be made and pinned in this forum detailing information about all of the upcoming groups.

Well I imagined Britney or Girls Aloud would get through but it seems BuzzJack is finally developing a musical conscience. :o In a very tight race between the top 4 'Sex On Fire' is the first song to make it through to the final though the other three still have another song in the competition so still another chance to make it through...
