Britney's annoying me, is now time for a new #1 but i doubt it with Womanizer holding a 400 point lead. And Circus has debuted very highly, despite being very average for Britney.

Fantastic to see PCD's best song yet managed #2 though and that Dream On made the top 10 at last.

Good to see Issues and Warm This Winter have debuted, hopefully both can make the top 10 but i seriously doubt it with WTW.

Oh my god. I really am annoyed now. This is supposed to be your own personal chart and it seems like an almost duplicate of the UK Chart. Your supposed to have a personal chart not a personal uk chart. As far as I know your allowed to chart anything from the 1800s up untill now. So it wont be a crime for charting Elvis or Aretha.. Yet when everybody heard Cilmi's Sanctuary was the 3rd single they all started charting it and now that it flopped from no promo everybody stopped charting it! :o Personal Chart = Your taste, how much you like a song/album track/instrumental. Not necessarily a single.

Personal Uk Chart = Charting everything thats on it. Stop charting whats not on it. :rolleyes:

Anyways so happy for Cilmi's high debut. She has an excellent chance for top 10 since she got top 10 with Save The Lies and Sweet About Me(I think). Hopefully KOL gets top 10 too. Great for Paramore and Florence too. Thanks Damon :cheer:

Oh my god. I really am annoyed now. This is supposed to be your own personal chart and it seems like an almost duplicate of the UK Chart. Your supposed to have a personal chart not a personal uk chart. As far as I know your allowed to chart anything from the 1800s up untill now. So it wont be a crime for charting Elvis or Aretha.. Yet when everybody heard Cilmi's Sanctuary was the 3rd single they all started charting it and now that it flopped from no promo everybody stopped charting it! :o Personal Chart = Your taste, how much you like a song/album track/instrumental. Not necessarily a single.
Personal Uk Chart = Charting everything thats on it. Stop charting whats not on it. :rolleyes:
Anyways so happy for Cilmi's high debut. She has an excellent chance for top 10 since she got top 10 with Save The Lies and Sweet About Me(I think). Hopefully KOL gets top 10 too. Great for Paramore and Florence too. Thanks Damon :cheer:

I agree that i don't think its right if you insist on keeping your chart current. It should reflect what you're listening to and what song at the exact moment you like the most. But each man to their own, its their own opinion. Even if it were like that the multichart wouldn't be much different because the biggest selling songs are the ones that are most popular here, generally. People's #1s may be random and old sometimes but they will probably be the only person who enters it in their chart, therefore only 40 points given to the multichart, whilst many will chart the current songs and therefore more points. Also many people have different musical tastes, but generally lots of people will be into Pop/R&B that features in the current top 10, whilst each individual might really like Rap too, for example, however not as many members will like Rap so it won't make much impact on the chart. In that respect the multichart point system is a bit flawed because not enough points are given to #1s. A #1 only gives twice as many points as i give to Womaniser, which is about #20 in my chart, as is the case with many other people i imagine (40 points versus 20 points), even though i love my #1 so many times much more than Womaniser. I guess the points system won't easily be changed because i think getting a formula in excel to give, for example, 1500 points to #1, 1200 points to #2, 1000 points to #3, about 600 points to #10 right down to 100 points to #76 is impossible and would have to be done manually, which of course will take forever :drama:

On this "Current music you like" vs "What you listen to" debate. I don't see what's wrong with charting what I like that's been released recently. I may give the songs in my chart 1 or 2 listens a week at most, but that's what it's like for every song for me. If I used something like my weekly Last.FM chart, my current #1 (that isn't BJSC-related) would be there on 4 plays then there are 5 non-BJSC songs I've listened to 3 times and quite a lot on 2 plays.

My point is that I play a variety of songs each week that don't get many plays. If I did a chart based on my listening I'd have things at #1 next week and missing the top 40 the next, so its better to have some sort of structure imo.

I do agree this chart follows the UK Chart a bit much at times, but not much can be done about that tbh, people just seem to prefer songs that did/do well :unsure: The points system could be changed easily, but I dunno, i'm not too keen tbh, it's been the same for a couple of years now, and such a big change in points will look a bit weird imo :lol: Also I don't think it will change much, songs that only appear in one chart, however high they chart, will still be at a disadvantage to a current song that appears in 5/6 charts, can't see it changing the overall chart much :unsure:

As for the Christmas odds, I might leave it now :lol: This is the last week before the Christmas chart, so it looks like an interesting battle between Britney and Leona, will Britney drop enough points to be overtaken, or will she do it? :o
