:o Alexandra has sold more in a day than Leon managed in 3!

Today's midweeks reflect TWO days of sales (Sunday and Monday).

I can't find any reference to it, in my old Guinness Book of Hit Singles either, it has to be an original

And funny enough the Virgin Book of Hit Singles does not list any Beyonce's solo material, and its not under Destiny's Child, how odd.

She's listed under K for Beyonce Knowles dear ;)

Listen's original peak was 16! :o top5 is impressive for a re-entry! Loving the weirdness of todays midweeks, but hate that its all completely to do with that bloody kareoke contest

Even better then ;) In that case Alexandra has sold 30,000 more copies in 2 days than than Leon managed in 4 -_-

Why don't you like it?

I hope Gabriella Cilmi will rise, I am not expecting Top 20, but hopefully she can make high 20's like #21 or something.

And, I am looking forward to seeing the albums today, hopefully FOB will have rised, I am debating whether to buy that album.

Do you think we could have a top 3 Hallelujah by Sunday

01 Alexandra Burke - Hallelujah

02 Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah

03 Leonard cohen - Hallelujah

Burke, Take That at No 1

Alexandra Burke will be the Christmas No 1, with her cover of Hallelujah selling 149,546 copies on Monday - with Leona Lewis at No2 on 28,607.

Leonard Cohen's orignal is set to re-enter the chart at No 34, while Jeff Buckley's version is at No 3. Peter Kay and The Wombats are the only other Top 40 new entries, midweek charts show.

Take That are 50,000 sales ahead of Leona Lewis for No 1 album.

Meanwhile, my bid to help JEFF BUCKLEY’s version of Hallelujah the Christmas No2 has been a huge success, with the cover at No3 in the midweek charts.

The 1994 version was just outside the Top 40 when I started campaigning a week ago.

It made it to No30 in Sunday’s chart — then by end of Monday was in the top three.

It’s about 10,000 copies behind Leona Lewis’s Run and could make it if you keeps downloading it.

Absolute Radio’s CHRISTIAN O’CONNELL is backing it and a Facebook group with more than 50,000 members is lobbying for it too.

HMV spokesman Gennaro Castaldo said yesterday: “We have the prospect of two covers of the same song in the No1 and No2 slots. I don’t think this has ever happened in UK charts history.”

Because my "deludedness" caused her to hate Cilmi

As if !

The Jeff Buckley's version was already doing really well on itunes, and it was certain that the X Factor finale would give it a big boost ! It has quite nothing to do with his "bid" to help it, the song is popular on its own (and thanks to the XF obviously lol).

I agree what a plonker!

His "Bid" probably helped a little bit, but he sounds like he is taking most of the credit for it, when it's blatently the X-Factor that's helped it! LOL.

I hope Run beats Jeff..

I can't believe Gabs is Still missing the top 20..She has been in top 15 on Itunes for a while now!

NO SALES INFO

Sony must be delighted at how this 'protest' is making them money, they own the rights to Alex, Jeff and Leona songs.

I think Leona will end up number 3, looking at Itunes this morning :(.

Because my "deludedness" caused her to hate Cilmi

Then she has a problem, so as you. LOL

Wow amazing for GA, album top5 on the Christmas week, who would have guessed two months ago ! :o :cheer:

It's gonna be hard to get 'The Loving Kind' in the top10 though, but who cares :P

Edited by Xmas_Bert

And wow at James Morrison ! Can't believe the GA Party performance gave it such a big popularity ! :o His last duet on CIN didn't have the same effect at all hehe
