March 19, 200917 yr Author 03. Remember Me [Affirmation] kT416Yzj-Zg Right, we finally get into the top 3 and it's a bit of a tear-jerker. "Remember Me" is such a beautiful song just Bev, and a piano, singing from the heart. It didn't click initially but when I listened properly to the lyrics and watched her performance of this on Jools Holland on Youtube (posted below) it just clicked and left me with a lump in my throat. It's that sort of song, so sad but so warm. A fitting tribute to her 'soul mate' who was lost to AIDS. I think its almost raw simplicity is it's best aspect and I just melt at the "So while you chill in the arms of angels, remember me" bit and the way it sounds like she's holding back the tears at the end, that's real soul. If I actually saw this live I would probably actually cry, heh. Screw "Fatal Factor" as a hidden track, this deserved to be the proper closer to "Affirmation", it was hardly worth adding. Speaking of closers, this is my highest placed "Affirmation" track and so it 'closes' that album on my top 40 countdown. If you don't love this track, you aren't listening to it properly, simple. :) ouYd8mVC6OE No prizes for guessing the top 2 now.

March 21, 200917 yr Author Top 2? You know I only post them once a month. :drama: Post it Aaron :smoke:. Looking at your Last.fm, your #1 may be the same as mine :o. Of course you'll love it far more but whatevz Shh! You aren't meant to look, even if it is painfully obvious given that my top 2 are tracks from "Music City Soul". "Tell Me I'm Wrong" vs "Rock Steady". :kink:
