January 21, 200917 yr From what I recall, C-list is 5 plays a week, B 10, and A 20+. Might be a bit off though... 1-Upfront songs can be played as often as the DJ wants. I think the A List is 30 plays, and thats the minimum, i'd imagine the B List is something like 15. Wow that's it? One radio stations in America average around 80-90 spins a week for the top 3. And atleast 50 spins for the entire top ten... You all must have an utter load of commericals. We don't have any commercials, its national(ised) radio. There are ads for BBC related programmes like in between every song though. Also i doubt much of this playlist is played between 7pm and 6.30am as it goes very alternative then. January 21, 200917 yr Author The top3 played songs on the station can reach around or even above the 30 plays per week. The rest of the A-list is about 18-25 plays a week. B-List about 12-20 playst. C-list between 6-10 plays. Upfront between 2-6 plays, sometimes more. You do have to realise there are lots of recurrents that are played during the day.
January 21, 200917 yr On the direct link to the site ... it says that Take That's UAN is released already on download? Eh? I wish the official site would let people know. Glad I visit here more often than I do their site (its a bit pants to be honest!) Norma
January 21, 200917 yr Presumably they just mean on the album? What has this got to do with the Radio 1 playlist anyway?

Glad I visit here more often than I do their site (its a bit pants to be honest!) NormaI think they mean that it's because it's available to be cherry picked from their album, on iTunes, 7 Digital, Amazon etc...
January 21, 200917 yr Presumably they just mean on the album? What has this got to do with the Radio 1 playlist anyway? I presume it says the release date on the written playlist on the Radio1 site, hence Norma enquiring.
January 21, 200917 yr Oooh..good for Shontelle. And, just heard that U2 song, not a fan like many of you.
January 21, 200917 yr Presumably they just mean on the album? What has this got to do with the Radio 1 playlist anyway? Creme Egg explained. And hang on ... I get jumped on for making one random post that digressed slightly (in fact not at all) and yet other plonkers in the chart thread digress left, right and centre and get off scot free! I'm only posting elsewhere because everyone in the Take That forum seems to have died (and I wasn't even invited to the funeral). I feel an apology is due!!!!!!! Norma

From 7pm till about 4 barely any of these songs are played. Zane Lowe often plays a few of the newer indie/rock tracks at the beginning of his show and Greg James normally plays a range of the playlist and older music on his early morning show. Then add to the fact that Radio 1 do play a lot of 'older' tracks too
January 21, 200917 yr Radio 1 sounds like a steaming pile of $h!t. Oh, won't you just f*** off? BTW, Yey for Madcon! I thought Tings were releasing Fruit Machine. edit: Bleugh for Shontelle. :( Edited January 21, 200917 yr by funmaker11
January 21, 200917 yr Oh, won't you just f*** off? :no:Erm, why should he? Especially when it's fact!
January 21, 200917 yr Erm, why should he? Especially when it's fact! There are other ways to say that other than the words "steaming pile of $h!t". Edited January 21, 200917 yr by funmaker11
January 21, 200917 yr There are other ways to say that other than the words "steaming pile of $h!t". :wacko:and there are other ways for you to not sound so rude, towards someone's thought's/opinion's ;)
January 21, 200917 yr and there are other ways for you to not sound so rude, towards someone's thought's/opinion's ;) Well, apologies to that.
January 21, 200917 yr There are other ways to say that other than the words "steaming pile of $h!t". What you said to Tyler was uncalled for and a lot more offensive, get a clue will you?
January 21, 200917 yr Radio 1 sounds like a steaming pile of $h!t. Umm.. why? No rubbish ads, decent presenters for much of the time (NOT Chris Moyles though - UGH.), good music, and the chance for alternative music fans to hear what they like during the evenings. Sounds like an odd judgement for you to make without ever having listened.

January 21, 200917 yr Oh, won't you just f*** off? Excuse me? To get all pissy about an assumption over a radio station is a BIT pathetic. Umm.. why? No rubbish ads, decent presenters for much of the time (NOT Chris Moyles though - UGH.), good music, and the chance for alternative music fans to hear what they like during the evenings. Sounds like an odd judgement for you to make without ever having listened. You're right, I was only assuming. Which is why I said it sounds like it from the descriptions of it. I didn't take into consideration, recurrents...and stations are just run differently in America. No need for people to take offense over it...with that being said, thank you for taking the time to explain it, instead of asking me to f*** off. It was obvious I knew nothing about the system because I came in here initially asking a question.
January 21, 200917 yr I couldn't be less offended :heehee: You're allowed an opinion, I just thought it was a bit daft, like if I said 'Z100 sounds RUBBISH' without ever actually having listened! That said I did listen to Z100 for the premiere of Womanizer and it did sound rubbish. :( Z100 I mean, not Womanizer. Though as you know I don't get much joy from that either. :heehee: Aural joy, not... okay. I'ma stop now.
