The way Headhunted was ganged up on at the time made it seem like it was the worst entry ever sent to BJSC :lol: I still remember my sig at the time! Over 15 people felt the need to claim that they hated it/was the worst song ever :rofl: Although that was probably a reaction to my sever over hyping of the track i.e. placing it at the top of the odds and calling it potential worldwide hit for Rihanna/PCD :heehee:

That was actually part of the problem really, the hatred for it probably wouldnt have been so huge then but i was suprised that 15 people thought it was awful. I guess you could say people were following the crowd though and were just saying it was crap because that was what everyone else was saying.

If i remember correctly i was one of the first to call it $h!t, though i probably wouldnt have said anything if it wasnt for a few people saying it before me.

Lots of the people commenting on I'm The One said they liked the scarier Mira songs :P So maybe I'm The One has more of a mass appeal :P? I think I'm gonna enter it, I'm used to DNQing :P

TBH I couldn't get into it either. It's music, but it's not really my thing . I could say that it's not really a song, but maybe that's a bit cruel!

It kinda interests me that Mart!n didn't notice or remember it. Not only did it win the rejects competition, but he was in the semi final with it when both of them failed to qualify for VII. :mellow: I know people can forget how songs from the BJSC go (I'm sure I couldn't hum them all) but surely you'd at least recognise the name and artist. :/

 

Maybe that's the difference between people who rip mp3 files of the songs and those who vote like a normal person. :lol:

It's just a real ODDBALL of a song and not very accessible. It sounds more like a scene from a film with music in the background to me. I think it's one of those critically acclaimed things that I just don't get. It's not a dig about you, when someone sends something unconventional there's always going to be major differences of opinions.

I think the point of Car Chase Terror! is to sound like it's from a movie. It's a lovely song. :wub: Though there are better on Before the Dawn Heals Us (which is probably my least favorite of M83's album, though I still quite love it). I think the main issue is that a lot of M83's music is quite reliant on synth, this one is particular is quite synth heavy, and youtube kills audio quality. M83's music is meant for headphones imo.

Lower Your Eyes And Die With The Sun is just as good :wub:
