May 19, 200917 yr How can something awful like "Bonkers" be #1 yet Britney's "If U Seek Amy" fails to get into the top 10? Stupid British public. Wait. IUSA was the 3rd single, while Bonkers was fresh new. Circus sold 300k I think, so that 300k got the song. ;) Partly another reason for failing to go to Top 10 is the radio edit of it. ;) Edited May 19, 200917 yr by FunMaker11
May 19, 200917 yr Perhaps it's got something to do with the terrible Radio 1 edit? It ruins the song. Or maybe because the album has been out since last year, most people have it already. Anyway, Bonkers isn't terrible, you just have to be in the right, um, mood to appreciate it. Don't call an entire nation stupid just because you have a tin ear for dance anthems. ROCK ON!! :w00t:
May 19, 200917 yr Bill Withers, Girls Aloud, Kelly Clarkson, Lily Allen, Flo Rida, Keri Hilson, Prodigy, Asher Roth, Britney Spears. Three number ones, one top five, three top twenties, only two that weren't top twenty. Quite a clearout of top twenty hits from yestermonth :P (exception: Bill Withers)
May 19, 200917 yr Yay for Keri Hilson! And wow @ Waldo's People! It came last in the Eurovision (undeservedly) so I didn't expect it to make much of an impression!
May 19, 200917 yr 45.5k! :o It's going to EASILY be the biggest weekly sale of the year. Also, first non X-Factor, novelty or charity record to sell 100k in a week since 'Crazy'! :D I knew this would be huge and always said that it would easily beat Boom Boom Pow if they were (like they were supposed to be) released at the same time, and I got practically laughed out of the thread at such a thought
May 19, 200917 yr I think Dizzee will be No.1 this week and we either get another new No.1 next week (lucky us :( ), or Black Eyed Peas return to the top
May 19, 200917 yr I'm so glad No One has re-entered top 40. Hope it sticks for the rest of the week. I don't think anyone's asked yet, so where is it exactly? :) Thanks
May 19, 200917 yr oh and :cheer: at 6 ESC songs in the top 75, with at least 3 that will hold on for certain
May 19, 200917 yr Having 6 top 75 ESC songs is brilliant. I knew Rybak, Ewen and Yoh would be there, but didn't expect US, ASOS and (my favourite entry) Waldo's People in the top 75 at all. They'll most likely all fall off by Sunday (except Alex and Jade and Yoh), but they were in the 75 for one day at least xP Great to see Dizz clearing almost 50k for the first mids, and the whole top 5 are above 10k as they were a couple weeks ago. Em, Green Day and the Manics have decent sales, but Lily and Madness only just clearing 5k and making the top 5 is just  even for a Tuesday. Edited May 19, 200917 yr by B-rye
May 19, 200917 yr I dont understand why that "fairytale" song from Eurovision is doing so well. Its absolutely awful and he cant even sing. Jade's song and Yohanna is much better!!
May 19, 200917 yr I dont understand why that "fairytale" song from Eurovision is doing so well. Its absolutely awful and he cant even sing. Jade's song and Yohanna is much better!! I completely agree. Can't believe Yohanna missed out on winning because i'd be estatic if it was because it was the best of them all IMO
May 19, 200917 yr im not too keen on Yohanna, i preferred What If We (Malta), La Voix (Sweden), Fairytale and It's My Time and quite possibly both Dum Tek Tek and the Ukraine entry.
May 19, 200917 yr I'm so glad No One has re-entered top 40. Hope it sticks for the rest of the week. I don't think anyone's asked yet, so where is it exactly? :) Thanks No One is 2 positions higher than 40.
May 19, 200917 yr Really hope The Alesha Show goes top 10 but her sales usually drop at the end of the week :( It really is a fantastic album, such a grower
May 20, 200917 yr I hope yohanna can climb and doesn't fall out, would be good if she had abit of success! The norway song will remain top ten and i hope jade and climb as much as possible! I hope all of the ESC songs remain in the top 75.. won't happen though.. if US remains will it be the first ever song sang in estonian? to chart in the UK? Strange how waldo's people came last yet it is charting! But then again it's very 'english'... same goes for germany, good song, did very badly.. strange it's charting? Anybody know why half of the Eurovision songs aren't available to download? thus why the aren't charting? Turkey must be one of these considering the Uk gave her 12 points she technically should be charting the highest?
May 20, 200917 yr I doubt Alex will stay in the top ten now that he's been removed from iTunes :( He had better be getting one massive launch, that's all I can say
May 20, 200917 yr According to a DS poster, Fairytale's been taken off I-Tunes, so surely it'll fall a lot if it stays off there.
