If that is TT, that is a hell of a drop.

No, it is Lenka I do believe, which they are wrongly classifying. It's happened before, they said Omen by The Prodigy was new, but it was really up 40-30.

An outside top 40 climber perchance? :P

The only climber is Lenka and she was top 40 last week.

Hold on, did they not say 9 tracks going down, one going up and a new entry?

I really like this year's dance songs tbh. I'm glad dance is back with some amazing tracks :cheer:

Picking up where Ministry and Nine Inch Nails left off, the Prodigy were a force to be reckoned with; a punk band in spirit, few electronic dance-rock band pushed the boundaries and rocked as viciously as The Prodigy did. The outfit slowly built a solid following throughout the 1990s, until 1996's MUSIC FOR THE JILTED GENERATION caught the eye of Madonna's Maverick Records. Their 1997 record, FAT OF THE LAND, was a breakout smash, buoyed by MTV's placing "Firestarter" on continuous loop. The Prodigy ignited a minor controversy with the video for "Smack My Bitch Up," which MTV eventually played despite full frontal nudity and massive drug use. While a touch of overhype spawned backlash, their core fans remained loyal through recordings into the next decade. - HMV

She's on Alan Carr's TV show tonight! :o

Will maybe boost this back into top 20 next week?

Maybe not with all the new entries though...

I'm glad this has done relatively well for Katy considering it's a 4th single and all. I hope she's being interviewed on Alan Carr, I absolutely adore her personality.

Her voice and veneer call up Amy Winehouse, but with a punk pop bent, bubblegum pinup style, and an affinity for 1980s rock themes; Katy Perry burst onto the top 40 on both sides of the Atlantic in the late 2000s. She gathered a cult following in late 2007 with the metrosexual-boyfriend-tweaking single "U R So Gay." Her star exploded when she went to the same well again with the dance pop-infused ode to fluctuating sexuality "I Kissed a Girl" (not a Jill Sobule cover), a teaser to the diverse debut, ONE OF THE BOYS. A surprising knack for hooks allowed Perry to sustain a career beyond one-note, and in 2009 she was a major player at both the Grammy and Brit Awards. - HMV
