Nah, I do prefer our way - seems fairer really.
Seems "fairer" I guess, but I feel certain new and fresh songs missing out on decent and proper peaks, thanks to this. :( It's slightly annoying me, knowing that Lazee could have made Top 40 for example.

The two chart rule for Old and New is the most riduclous and BAFFLING thing ever.

If a song sells the most copies in a week it should be #1! Why does it matter if the songs 4 decades old or 4 weeks, its sold the most, so should be charting.

He won't even get #1 on ALBUMS in the US even though he's going to outsell the #1 by quite some distance, it's ridiculous.

Smooth Criminal is one of my least favorite MJ singles, so I'm not disappointed with it's placing. Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough fused funk and rock I believe, it had a guitar solo I think? I hope it climbs up higher next week.

Smooth Criminal

I loved the Moonwalker video at the time.

However I have to post the superb Rock cover from 2001:

Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal

I really don't understand how a song like 'Smooth Criminal' could only originally reach #8! :o

Discussion Thread Here

I don't think I'm spoiling anything by saying this: in the 48 hours after his death, based on the singles and albums that have made the top 200, MJ has sold 204,703 singles and 109,802 albums. Plus anything that didn't make the top 200.
It was the SEVENTH song from Bad
Why were all of MJ's songs re-released in 2006?

It was some kind of campaign. I can't remember what exactly ('cause I don't live in the UK)

I bought "Stone Cold Sober" this week - a great song, they said that she was in St. Trinians! Who did she play?

Completely agree!

Didn't know it was for albums too! :o

AAF version of Smooth Criminal is amazing, I'n hoping it can (re?)chart in at least top 100.
Love AAF version, I'm going off to download both versions now
