Yeah Lucie is a CERTAIN winner, X Factor/Cowell is ultimately about ballads at the end of the day and Lucie has a remarkable ballad voice, not the power of a Leona or a Laura or a Ruth but more a Welsh Eva Cassidy type subtle but beautiful voice, she also is a very likeable person too

 

Lloyd - Weak drippy singer but his boyband looks will see him last a few weeks, same little girls that voted for Eoghan last year will vote for him

Joe - Again a rather weak voice but his looks will ensue he lasts 4 or 5 weeks

Rikki - Annoying accent and I think a certainty for an earlyish exit

Kandy Rain - The fact they are slags might get them some votes off the late teen early 20's Nuts/Zoo/Loaded reader but they are not strong singers, early exit on the cards

Miss Frank - Best X Factor group EVER for me even more so than JLS can see them being in final 4

John and Edward - Most vile contestants ever, can't sing, annoying accent, arrogant bast*rds who just want to throttle but they will last a few weeks because people will think it is funny to vote for them and given Simon will slag them off mercilessly will get them a few votes

Lucie - My 3rd best X Factor singer ever after Ruth and Leona, sure to be a finalist and likely winner

Rachel - Decent voice and the best of this years blacks but I see a mid series exit for her

Stacey - VERY irritating accent, Jade Goody sounded like the Queen compared with this girl but god can she sing, Final 5 beckons

Olly - Overated, not put in a good performance since Superstition, decent drunken Friday night karaoke singer but a future star ? nah

Jamie - Most overated contestant I can ever remember, not put in one truly great performance but Cowell will get him to the final one way or another

Danyl - Decent showman but a one trick pony as a singer, been $h!t since that Joe Cocker song, in danger of an earlyish exit but the tabloids love him

 

 

 

Cheryl and Simon's choices were f***ing AWFUL this year. :| Especially Cheryl, why did she pick three boys who are all a similar age and will all have a similar fanbase? Stupid girl :P. She shoulda put Ethan & Duane over Lloyd & Joseph.

 

Simon I think should've put Treyc through over Danyl ... he hasn't got that great a voice and she was probably the strongest of all of the Over's imo, but she didn't get enough airtime so there you go.

 

It'll be one of the boys or one of the girlgroups to go the first week I think. I reckon any of the girls (very strong) or Danyl will win it this year, hopefully not Danyl though, eugh.

Miss Frank and Rachel Adedeji through is AMAZING tho. :D

The almighty Keisha Buchanan agrees, one of the Miss Frank chicks is similar in look and sound to Queen Mutya II

The more I look at Lucie post-makeover for the live shows the more I see Michelle Ryan. :o

Here's my tuppence on the top 12

 

LLOYD - Average voice, not diverse and an absolutely horrible accent, but should go through for a few weeks due to his looks.

JOE - Probably the least rubbish of the boys, a decent enough voice, will probably be the top boy.

RIKKI - God he's so pathetic it hurts. He's not an amazing singer and I hate it when they cry at everything ¬¬

 

JAMIE - Nice enough voice, might be the "different" thing they're looking for?

DANYL - Self indulgent, over the top and overrated imo, he's good enough to get to the last few though.

OLLY - Not all that great, although the judges probably think he's "querky" because of his hat.

 

KANDY RAIN - A bit slaggy, but the Girl Groups are alway pretty poor.

MISS FRANK - I can't see this working too well, they all have nice voices, but I can't see the judges choosing them great songs

JOHN AND EDWARD - Vocally the weakest, I can't believe they got through their first auditions, they don't have the talent, the looks or the likeability, maybe it's the passport ;).

 

LUCIE - The winner so far for me, amazing voice and it's nice to see someone doing vocal techniques like vibrato properly.

STACEY - A really great singer but I wish she'd talk properly :P I can see her in the final 3

RACHEL - I can see her being the darkhorse, she has a good voice but I don't think she has the power of the other two in her category.

Well I am in disagreement with most people in that I totally agree with all Cheryl's choices. Like Cheryl, I just didn't 'get' Daniel (am surprised she seemed to think he was the next best shot in the end), didn't see any star quality or likeability in Duane and thought Ethan was a very, very average singer.

 

For me, the other 'looker', LLoyd is much better and will hopefully make more itneresting song choices. Cheryl was quite good at choices last year, I want Lloyd to maintain his Mraz-style tunes, not become Eoghan. Rikki is a great jazzy singer but NEEDS to stop crying if he's going to get anywhere. Am really glad he finally got to the finals though. As for Joe, for me he has a fantastic tone to his voice and immense likeability - I wouldn't write him off, I think he will make the final.

 

Dannii too made good choices. I wanted Stacey Maclean just because I have a soft spot but realistically she wasn't strong enough. Nicole and Despina both put in good performances across the series - the girls were really strong. Rachel is a bit of a wildcard who could go either way, Stacey is very funny with a great voice and Lucie has just been perfect thus far.

 

Louis - not TOO bad - barring the obvious horrid twins choice. Would have preferred Harmony Hood. But I like Kandy Rain and hope they are given a shot - I figured out I used to be good friends with one of them so am wishing them well! Miss Frank are simply for me the best group the show has ever had. De-Tour and Project A were both much more average.

 

Simon made HORRID choices, I genuinely would have preferred the other three. Daniel Pearce was consistently great and while Treyc wasn't a standout she gave THE judges houses performance. Nicole was not half as good as bootcamp, mind. Olly - I think he's such an average vocalist but can't help myself liking him, so kinda glad for him. Danyl overthinks everything and comes off badly. Jamie I just find absolutely VILE.

I am HOPEFUL that while they are novelty, J&E just aren't likeable enough to get voted at all and will end up bottom two and be out week one. Kandy Rain are more likely but they put in a good vocal on a Brownestone ballad at their first audition so song choice could be crucial. Unfortunately Rikki could be there too, or Rachel.

 

I think Lucie, Joe, Miss Frank and Jamie are the ones most likely to make the final.

Agreed, I'd have thought with him being a former mentor of Leona that he'd know having a big 'personality' (of which I'm sure she actually has tons of) isn't necessary to go far. That said, I expect she'd have only done an Alisha Bennett or Dionne Mitchell and been bottom two first week. There's usually a girl with a good voice but 'no personality' that ends up there, though Treyc is better than both of those were.

While Jamie showed a better side, and that he's better than some I've put above him, on Saturday, his previous performances are too toe-curling. I really hope Miss Frank can work as a group they've been getting better but strangely, they seemed most like most like a group in their first performance as solo artists. :lol:

As for the twin(k)s, at least they're a talking point, a love/hate figure (loved by the braindead teenage girls welcoming puberty, hated by everybody else).

 

Will the teenage girls love them really? If anything, I'd imagine they'd go for Lloyd or Joe - I just don't see the twins personality appealing to ANYONE - unless they really hate Simon Cowell.
